After writing off my BMW 320d halfway through the month, I suddenly found myself in the market for a new car.Once the insurance payout landed, I had just under £5,500 to play with after paying my excess. Crooks.Hired a car at Stansted a few years back.When left back they claimed I'd damaged an alloy. I'd only driven 50 moles and knew I'd not done any damage. Did a chargeback on the credit card and they gave up.Colleague had a car from them whilst his company car was in for warranty work.When he left it back they tried the same exact scam.He said he'd caused no damage but they wre adamant that he'd caused damage.They claimed multiple staff had checked before the rental and that he'd caused the issue. The M6 GC is fantastic, especially with a warranty!Faced with a similar choice, my wife bought a Taycan. It's perfect at almost everything from the school run to twisty country lanes. On a couple of occasions, I've covered 700km in a day without feeling that recharging half way was a chore. It's just a shame it doesn't have a soul.Edited by chirurgus on Sunday 11th October 05:25

I started this thread really with a question about pros and cons of putting an AJP or something else in my scrap Cerbera and it has morphed into a project build thread over time. Brief history:I was thinking about buying myself a fun sports car, there's nothing new in the £50-80k range I would particularly be interested in. Had to feel special, had to be light, "analogue" and not overly-assisted. Had to be manual and i prefer a large capacity NA to forced induction. Ford Mustang maybe, perhaps not quite special enough and a bit porky. Emira - I love Lotus and have had a few but i'm not a fan o
