Been an expensive week so far. Monday was monies and quotes concerning day one of buying a house, plus it peed down with rain all day. Yesterday was a lovely sunny day so in order to save money and take the little 4 month old Mazda for a spin, I decided to return my wrong prescription glasses to the factory in Amersham by hand. Reviews of the M350 are starting to hit the websites of the big magazines - all pretty positive. Looking like if you're sticking with combustion it's another really good 3 Series.

As others have said.A. You won't lose your NCD & even if you did you would be surprised how little difference it would actually make, it is not like you get 60% off or similar. Been there twice.B. The great majority of decent "approved" repairers will ask the question (or you can obviously) whether you need a car for the time the car is in for repair. They generally charge either nothing or just ask that you replace the fuel you use. Been there twice also obviously.

I got a tank of Super (Jet brand) for 175.9 yesterday. E10 was 10p below that. Seems to be a slight move in the right direction although that garage is always cheaper than the one down the road. However, the one down the road is in a busier location. It’s an interesting case study when you think about it. Our Economics teacher used petrol as his example of ‘perfect competition.’ There’s essentially no difference between the product of various companies and they can all be used interchangeably.

I had a 525d M-sport, also in silver and a 57 plate, so about 3-4 years old at the time - I remember it being quite pleasant - not exactly fast, but a nice drive.Picked up a hitch-hiker one day and he remarked 'not often you get picked up in this kind of car' - I asked him what he meant and he said 'like an old man car'.I was about 35.unconnected because who really cares, but I traded it for an F11 530d about a year later - felt much bigger, but was a lovely place to be.
