The attached transcript from The Drive’s podcast discusses Toyota’s recall of 270,000 Tundras and other models with the twin turbo 3.4 L V6. They have manufacturing debris inside the engine that causes a spun bearing. The solution is to replace the engines, but that may only be temporary. The reason for the debris hasn’t been determined yet. An added problem is that the hybrids aren’t included in the recall despite using the same engine. Quite a shock, considering Toyota’s reputation. 2020 Honda Accord, 120k miles on it. I hear a scrape and pop sound when going over bumps and a metal scrape when turning. Sound appeared to be mainly coming from the front and back on both sides. Dealer had said it was front struts, bearing within the mounts, and also listed an line item for “sway bar link kit (front) - Replace ADD SWAY BAR BUSHING” for ~$600. The sway bar bushing is molded to the sway bar, so you can’t replace just the sway bar bushings. Replacing the sway bar on this car requires lowering the front subframe. 90s Toyotas have a rubber strip around the wheel to protect it from getting hit by someone’s door. It goes in the same place as a fender flare on a truck. The rubber is shrinking and starting to come off. What kind of adhesive works for this? Also, the fancy looking silver lining that goes on the outside of the rubber around the back window is coming off. Any recommendations for that?

I have a 2014 Chrysler Town and Country with 76K miles. The transmission works properly most of the time. No problems shifting through the gears. Usually OK from stationary into reverse or forwrd gears. Except, occasionally, there is a jarring clunk into first gear. After the jolt, everything is OK. I haven’t been able to determine any pattern to when it occurs-it seems pretty random. Of course, I can’t check the transmission fluid as there is no dipstick and access under the vehicle is limited. Has anyone had a similar issue or have an idea of how big of a problem this might become?

You can maybe forgo the serpentine belt and serpentine belt tensioner, but I would opt in to replace them when you do this job.
