I FIRST NOTICED SEVERE VIBRATION WHEN GOING ON HIGHWAY, I APPLIED BRAKE AND THE ENTIRE FRONT END STARTED TO VIBRATE. THE CAR ONLY HAS AROUND 16,000 MILES AND ITS 2018 MODEL. BAD ROTOR IS CAUSING THIS TO SHAKE. THIS ROTOR MUST HAVE COME FROM THE FACTORY DEFECTIVE. THE DEALER IS UNWILLING TO REPLACE IT. THEY WANT ME TO PAY FOR THIS REPAIR AROUND $300. I REALIZE THAT BRAKE PADS ARE NOT COVERED BUT THE ROTORS SHOULD BE COVERED BECAUSE THEY CAME LIKE THAT FROM THE FACTORY.

ON SEPTEMBER 29TH 2020 AT 7:20PM EST THE 2018 TOYOTA CAMRY DID NOT WANTED TO START EVEN AFTER PUSHING THE BREAK AND START BUTTON SEVERAL TIMES. AFTER A FEW MINUTES IT FINALLY TURNED ON AND THE CAR STARTED TO SHAKE. THE ENGINE ALSO HAD A FUNNY RATTLING NOISE AND A MASTER LIGHT CAME ON MY DASHBOARD. AFTER PUTTING THE CAR IN REVERSE THE BACK CAMERA SCREEN ALSO HAD A MASTER LIGHT ON WITH RCD OFF SIGNAL. AFTER DRIVING FOR A ABOUT 12 MINUTES AT APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH THE CAR STALLED AND I ALMOST GOT INTO AN ACCIDENT. I HAVE OWNED THIS VEHICLE FOR LESS THAN ONE YEAR AND ALL MAINTENANCE HAS BEEN DONE AC

ON 9/24/20 WE EXPERIENCED A HEAD ON COLLISION IN WHICH BOTH OCCUPANTS EXPERIENCED INJURIES FROM THE SEATBELT (PASSENGER HAD A FRACTURED STERNUM), AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. ONCOMING CAR CROSSED THE CENTERLINE ON A CURVE, BOTH CARS WERE MOVING. I WOULD DISPUTE THE SPEED OF THE OTHER CAR AS I BELIEVE IT WAS GOING MUCH FASTER THAN STATED IN THE POLICE REPORT. OUR VEHICLE MAY VERY WELL HAVE PERFORMED AS DESIGNED (TOYOTA HAS BEEN CALLED TO CONFIRM), WE ARE THANKFUL TO BE HERE, BUT FEEL THE INJURIES COULD HAVE BEEN MINIMIZED IF THE AIRBAGS DEPLOYED. WHEN ATTEMPTING TO START, CAR ACTED AS IF THE BATTERY WAS VERY LOW IT TURNED OVER, DASH WENT BLACK FOR ABOUT 3 SECONDS AND CAR STARTED VERY FORCEFULLY. CAR HAD BEEN PARKED UNDER CARPORT FOR ABOUT 16 HOURS. THE DAY BEFORE CAR WAS IN THE SAME CONDITIONS AND STARTED RIGHT UP NO PROBLEMS.

THERE HAS BEEN SEVERAL MISFIRES WHEN STARTING THE CAR, AND THE CAR SOMETIMES GOES INTO LIKE AN IDLE MODE. THE DASHBOARD STATES 27 MPG, BUT I'VE BEEN TRACKING MILEAGE ON A PAPER LOG, AND THE VEHICLE IS REALLY ONLY RECEIVING APPROXIMATELY 19 MPG. I LOOKED TO IT TO SEE WHAT IT COULD BE, AND AFTER LOOKING UP ACTIVE RECALLS, REALIZED THAT IT WAS SYMPTOMS OF THE FUEL PUMP MALFUNCTIONING. I TOOK IT TO SCOTT CLARK TOYOTA; A MANUFACTURER'S DEALER, AND THEY REFUSE TO REMEDY THE SITUATION.

Coworker has a 2008 Hyundai Accent, which has overheated repeatedly, consumes a lot of coolant, and barely runs. He wants me to assist with repairing the engine, if possible. I assume by now, the head is warped or cracked, but what I am trying to determine is if the engine block in this model is iron or aluminum. If it’s iron, this can probably be repaired. If it’s aluminum, the entire engine would need to be replaced, which is more work than I would want to do.
