After more than ten years of E36 tinkering, many engine iterations and lots of seat time from track days to racing, it was time so start something new. An accident in the E36 at Cadwell Park in April 2023 was the ultimate deciding factor for this. The car was repairable, but it's fate was already decided - break it for parts and retain what I needed, then sell the rest to fund the next project. It's final spec is listed in the video description if you are interested. The platform and interchangeability of the M5x engine parts will never go away, but fun was had and it was time to move on. |

Without knowing the price per litre, this (surely) has to be a positive development?The UK (and European) Governments need to have a sliding methodology towards phasing our fossil fuels entirely. 스바루 임프레자 WRX STI (GR/GV) | 에어컨 컨덴서 교환 | 공정1: 에어컨이 작동하고 있었으나 한여름에 작동 불능 상태는 치명적이므로 조기 교체함. 컨덴서의 드라이어 부분에서 냉매 누유 발생 | 공정2: 사용한 컨덴서는 코요라드 제순정등가품. 일부 나사산 정밀도가 불량이었으나 수정하여 장착은 문제없이 완료 | 공정3: 오일도 스며나오고 있어 냉매 충전 시 오일도 주입함

브레이크 패드 교환

2015 골프 후륜 디스크와 패드 교체 후 백업 상태에서 브레이크 밟을 때 한쪽 또는 양쪽에서 "덜컹" 소리 발생. 전진 상태로 변경 후 브레이크 밟으면 다시 "덜컹" 소리 발생. 같은 방향에서만 계속 브레이크를 밟으면 소리 없음. 교체 전에는 발생하지 않았던 증상. 패드가 캘리퍼 한쪽으로 밀려나는 소리로 판단됨.

엔진오일 교환

포드 포커스 MKII 1.8 Duratec 엔진에서 따뜻한 엔진 시작 시 심한 시동 불량. 스타터는 강력하게 돌지만 엑셀 페달을 펌프질할 때만 시동이 걸리며, 때로는 저회전에서만 시동됨. 따뜻한 상태에서 약 20%는 정상 시동되지만 냉간 시작 시에는 증상 없음. 연료 베이퍼 락(vapor lock) 의심.

1994 코롤라 폐차 예정 중. 현재 윈터 타이어(트레드 양호, 사용 적음)가 장착되어 있음. 타이어 주행 거리 불명확, 휠은 중간 정도 녹슬어 있음. 윈터 타이어의 가치 여부와 썸머 타이어로 교체해서 판매할 가치가 있는지 검토 중

트랙 레이싱 중 강한 제동으로 인한 브레이크 과열로 제동력 급격히 감소, 또는 긴 내리막길에서 엔진 브레이킹 없이 주행 시 브레이크 과열. 과열 후 냉각하면 안전하게 집으로 돌아갈 수 있는지, 그리고 즉시 교체가 필요한지 또는 마모될 때까지 사용 가능한지 확인 필요.
