Post pictures of interesting filling stations and garages you come across: small, picturesque, disused, derelict or recycled - anything eye catching. Then and Now pics would be good too. This one is in Llandrindod Wells. I had to stop the car and walk back.When I searched on "Pritchard & Sons Llandrindod Wells" they are now Funeral Directors. That's a Change of Business Planning Application I would have liked to have seen.79.9p per litre? So, not a million years ago it was still functioning like this.

Had an earlier non-R-Design / satnav version. It was a great car and great engine in it, small for a Volvo estate, so no room for family + dogs + luggage - one of those 3 things had to stay at home.But all you'd expect from Volvo in terms of quality build, a nice design (for the time), and really quite a lot of power (for the time) in what was a physically small estate. Would I pay £12k for it now? Not a chance

I’m driving an older vehicle today & was totally bewildered not to find a cup holder for my coffee.(I did find one eventually but there is only one in reach of the driver)It reminded me of a time (I think the 90’s) when top gear et al included number of cup holders in their reviews (possibly even in printed stats in the back of magazines if you recall them?). I was convinced at the time this was a piss take, I wanted to here 0-60 times not how many cup holders a vehicle hadI grew up in an era when the only thing consumed in a car were travel sweets - maybe occasionally an opal fruit. Love the idea, but they were difficult enough to look after in period, never mind 40 years later.Limited annual mileage would help I suppose.

I had my first accident two days ago (minimal injuries so don't worry about that), and it's got me thinking about a lot of different aspects to driving and cars, such as braking. Had my braking been even slightly less effective, it would have been a very different story. This lead me to do research on cars with good 60 mph - 0 mph distances, but in doing so someone claimed that it was effectively just a tire comparison. So is this true?
