머플러 교환

2023 닛산 프론티어 프로 4X에서 배기 및 머플러에 과도한 녹이 발생하고 있음. 같은 모델의 아버지 차량보다 훨씬 심한 상태. 신호대기 중에도 머플러에서 금속이 식으면서 나는 소리(threat tinting sound)가 들림. 일반적으로 시동을 끈 후에만 들리는 소리인데 주행 중에도 들려서 엔진이 과열되는 것 아닌지 우려됨.

밸브 정비 중 의문점: 밸브가 수백만 번의 왕복 운동을 반복할 때, 실제로 회전하는지 아니면 씰 상태에서 위치가 고정되어 있는지? 회전이 가능하다면 씰 손실을 야기할 수 있는가? 스프링이 밸브를 눌러주지만 위치를 잠금하는 메커니즘이 없다.

80km/h 이상의 속도로 주행할 때 자동차가 떠다니거나 미끄러운 노면에서 운전하는 것처럼 제어 불능 상태가 되는 현상

'89 BMW 525i E34. 매일 운행할 때는 정상이지만, 장시간 방치 후 시동이 걸리지 않음. 구매 전 수년간 방치되었고, 구매 후 약 1년간 일일 운행 중. 시동을 끈 후 최소 1시간 동안은 엔진이 회전하지 않음. 키를 돌려도 엔진이 시동하려는 시도조차 하지 않음. 1시간 경과 후(때로는 조금 더 걸림) 엔진이 시동됨.

매번 연료를 충전할 때마다 주행거리, 연료 가격, 펌프량을 기록하고 있습니다. 93옥탄가 휘발유로 거의 빈 탱크를 채워 거의 빌 때까지 주행한 후, 89옥탄가와 87옥탄가로 동일하게 반복했습니다. 예상대로 93옥탄가가 최고의 연비를 보였고, 89옥탄가가 그 다음, 87옥탄가가 가장 낮은 연비를 보였습니다. 어느 것이 더 경제적인지 판단하려면 어떻게 해야 할까요?

진공 누수가 악화되면서 신호등에서 갑자기 엔진 노킹 발생. 중립에서 시동 시 공회전이 불규칙하고 때때로 꺼짐 (노킹 증상 없음). 1단 기어에서는 작동 불가. 정비소에서 진공 누수를 수리했으나 다시 발생. 공기/연료비 불균형으로 인한 조기점화 의심.

2013 Subaru Impreza에 잘못된 점도의 엔진오일(5w-20) 주입함. 매뉴얼은 0w-20 지정. 남부 펜실베이니아 지역, 아침 온도 30-40°F

1986 코르벳 컨버터블(알루미늄 헤드)에서 핫 스타트 및 가속 시 93옥탄 휘발유 사용 중에도 노킹(핑) 발생. 엔진 연소실에 탄소 침적이 쌓여 있다고 추정됨.

2006 Cobalt 배터리 방전 증상 - 실내등 어두워짐, 라디오 시간이 12:00으로 초기화됨, 시동 불가. 순정 배터리(약 18년 경과)로 교체 필요. 배터리가 엔진룸이 아닌 트렁크에 위치.

R60 모델에 맞는 리어 컴플리트 스트럿을 찾고 있음. NAPA, CarQuest, O'Reilly's에서 검색했으나 NAPA의 VIN 검색에서 R60이라고 표시되는데 정확하지 않음

They just have. My 2006 e class looks like a normal size car these days. Especially the width of it. Even driving an F10 5 series feels scary on some roads, can’t imagine what the latest 5 is like to drive around the countryside.

When I look at Lamborghini Veneno and compare it for example to the Ferrari 458 Italia I can see that Lamborghini used a V12 while Ferrari placed a V8 inside the 458 Italia. I wonder why Lamborghini uses a V12 as it should be the heavier engine. Also due to additional 4 cylinders it has more spinning parts and wearing parts. Shouldn't the V8 have advantages over the V12? So I wonder why did the Lamborghini choose the V12 over an V8? I find the V8, after the 6 cylinder boxster from Porsche, the best engine when taking agreement between weight, spinning parts, horsepower/torque and space.

My ears don't hurt, but my left ear feels a little blocked afterwards. I was standing a meter and a half away from a machine that fits rim into the tire, while also pumping air or something. The tire was lying horizontal. Anyway it popped loudly like a gunshot. Is this normal sound? I didn't like having my ear blocked. Is this permanent damage to my ear? I didn't have my ear right close to the tire but I was standing close. Is this normal when fitting new tires?

I'm learning about catalytic converters, and learned that a car with a functioning converter doesn't output carbon monoxide (CO) because it converts it into carbon dioxide (CO2) and water (H2O). How exactly does someone die of CO poisoning if they leave the car running, if the converter ensures this doesn't happen? Is there a step I'm missing? Given there were only 5 new GranCabrio Trofeo’s registered in 2024 I can’t imagine Maserati are targeting much more than double figures per year for this one. Might be £50k less than a DB12 upfront but the Aston would be cheaper to lease / save the difference in depreciation which would make this a tough choice…

It looks the business from the outside and those rocker switches do look quite cool. I'm not sure the badge is established enough to sell too many over here at this money though. While certainly not all, I don't think it's controversial to say a majority of buyers for £70k SUVs are at least a bit interested in perceived status.Mind you, you have to start building that reputation somewhere. Maybe BYD see bringing it here as a loss leader to help establish the brand.
