It looks the business from the outside and those rocker switches do look quite cool. I'm not sure the badge is established enough to sell too many over here at this money though. While certainly not all, I don't think it's controversial to say a majority of buyers for £70k SUVs are at least a bit interested in perceived status.Mind you, you have to start building that reputation somewhere. Maybe BYD see bringing it here as a loss leader to help establish the brand.
sam.rog said: I think this will be a flop. The land rover crew wants a LR. Doesn t matter the cost or reliability. They want a LR. 70k is too much for the cant afford a LR crew. 70k is too much for the country farmer as they either want LR or cheap as pickup. Also farmers go with who ever dealer is closest. Only way this sells is a massive lease insensitive. £300pm. No one in their right mind would foot the depreciation on it. I reckon it will be worth £30k in 3 years. No one will take that hit without it having the prestige on your drive. It's worth £30k now let alone in 3 years!

But the Octa is more fun and a much more serious road SUV for a laugh. I’m also having the - get a Nomad plus a FFRR for the same money thought….

I used to work in Marlow which had width restriction bollards at each end of the bridge (they've been removed now, so it's just a kerb instead which is bad but not quite as bad). In theory, they were 2m at both ends of the bridge, but I discovered that these could be adjusted (and had been adjusted) so that one end was wider. This meant that vehicles slightly wider than 2m could get on the bridge, but couldn't get off the other side...I had to help take them off at the narrower end because a Land Rover towing a trailer with a bull in it had got through one end of the

Anyone else feel like driving at night is getting worse now thanks to modern cars and their collapsed suns blinding everyone?Landrovers are bad for it but that's also because they're higher up, still no excuse it's like they're always on full beam. BMW's as well, everytime I now pass a new one I can bearly bloody see.Sometimes I flash them as I think to myself they definitley have their full beams on, only for them to flash me back and illuminate the whole fking county
