노후화와 전압 변동으로 인해 105Ah 주배터리(메인 배터리)를 교체했습니다. BMW/ISTA에 따르면 보조배터리 2개가 있어야 하는데, 운전석 우측 앞 부분(조수석 아래 커버 안)에 보조배터리가 없으며 원래도 없었던 것 같습니다. 트렁크의 양쪽 커버를 분해했지만 거기에도 없습니다. 보조배터리들이 어디에 장착되어야 하는지 알 수 없어 답답합니다.

What a fantastic car! Even on 180,000 miles and as is often the case with a workshop loan car, rather dirty and unloved, it drove brilliantly with no rattles and the 1.6 TDI pulled really well (much stronger and quieter than the 1.5 dCi in my Renault), which was a surprise and it was still averaging 50mpg. Not sure if this is the right place to ask, but why don't automobiles have some sort of immediate braking mechanism? Even one that plows into the ground to stop the car faster than if you just slammed on the brakes. If we were worried about abuse, it could be one time use before some costly replacement, so it would only be used in emergencies.

wasn't the Ital an evolution of the Marina? which was basically a rebodied Oxford from the `50s? lever arm shocks, leaf springs and wheezy OHV cast iron powered FE/RWD units when the competition were running FWD, Coil springs etc etc- giving a better ride for similar money. The unions were mainly responsible for Morris' demise but the lack of progress/innovation from the design management didn't exactly help either!
