Does seem very cheap. ULEZ free, no VED and a slushbox makes for an appealing fair-weather daily. Fabulous colours. A set of Fuchs would look fabulous.

...that I don't really like and I'm not sure why.My Renault was in the garage again this week for yet another fix and they kindly lent me a loan car, a 2010 Audi A3 1.6 TDI for the day. What a fantastic car! Even on 180,000 miles and as is often the case with a workshop loan car, rather dirty and unloved, it drove brilliantly with no rattles and the 1.6 TDI pulled really well (much stronger and quieter than the 1.5 dCi in my Renault), which was a surprise and it was still averaging 50mpg. It seemed to have held up much better than my Renault even though that's 5 years younger and has done l

PS Hats off to you for doing all that bodywork preparation on your Cortina....and IMO white is good for the underside of the car, it looks so much better than the ubiquitous black.It makes the car much easier to work on as any oil leaks ( hopefully none ) can be seen, and it's much easier to illuminate when the car is on axle stands in a home garage ( ask me how I know that !!)Keep the updates flowing, it is a great project and bring back memories of my Elan.....( hence the post above !!)

Owned this now for just over a year and use it as my work commuter. I only commute 3 miles each way so it is perfect for avoiding ruining a decent car with a short commute.The cargo version is surprisingly practical with the large lockable boot. I have windows for it, but just wear a coat over winter. Its been great with the warm weather the last few months. I have also fitted a Twizy Powerbox so it now shifts reasonably well and does over 60mph.It is hilarious to drive and, even after a year, still gets wierd looks from other road users.Only really downside is other drivers cut you up, pull
