i had a 2.0l auto, put over 300k miles on it, one of the best cars ive ever had, al be it a bit boring, but it just worked.

TL;DR: I have bought this:My wife is vaguely supportive of this idea. It is a 2004 7th Gen Honda Accord Tourer in a rather fetching blue but, more importantly, the 2.4 VTEC engine and a 6 speed manual gearbox. Having decided that I wanted to SORN my Boxster for the winter, it was time to look for a cheapish third car that wouldn t take up too much space. I originally had my sights set on a Honda CR-Z because they re a bit weird and very cheap to run. In the summer there were loads on buffet but when I was finally ready to buy one, pickings were slim. Project Bugster Concept:Sensible people would leave it at that, sensible people definitely wouldn't even contemplate a Boxster based RAID buggy, sensible people would know that you couldn't possible build a competitive off road competition vehicle from a hairdressers car, sensible people wouldn't have two other Porsche based projects on the go.....Anyway I bought this last week: An awesomely base spec 2.5L 1998 Boxster with a depressingly grey interior and a proper poverty spec with the exception of having climate control.Clean isn't it.... that's because it's done less than 45K miles. A very handsome car. I’ve played with the configurator and on the big wheels with the performance pack it’s more estate than SUV and all the better for it. With a set of coil overs it would look better still. Not cheap mind you but I’m considering it.

I am probably long-overdue writing a Readers' Car thread for any one of my formers cars, but this seemed like as good an excuse as any...A change in work circumstances meant that we were looking to jump off the PCP/lease train for 12 or so months and get something lower cost and sensible to truck the family about in.
