One more job done, we now have a rad exit bonnet vent! A quick run around with the angle grinder resulted in this: Considering this was CAD informed free hand and sharpie this worked out pretty well: With that done I moved on to how we seal it to the bonnet, the plan was always to employ some neoprene rubber strip to act as bellows allow deflection against the bonnet lower surface to form a decent seal: I then drew up a basic bonnet vent with the intention of using this to check fit and inform thinking for a better one / just sending it depending on how time was stacking up With this fitted and the bonnet closed you can see the seal interaction and how this all fits together. In fact it looked so nice I felt I had to do a nicer bonnet vent that would carry a grill to blend it all in...So I surfaced the bonnet and drew that up, it's a six piece part for 3D print and we'll paint this with some bed liner once bonded together so it looks the part. The advantage of this being designed to a surface is that it'll bond in with some Tigerseal so should look pretty good in terms of fit. The mesh/grill is carried on the lower side of the inner lip and should stop anything big falling down the rad duct whilst at the same time making it look a bit more finished. We're slowly knocking down the to do list. Just exhaust, clutch, starter, alternator, water pump, charge the aircon, put some geo on it and wire up the extra bits and lights.... oh and stick the livery on! We should make it

A somewhat unbalanced duo which is acknowledged from the start in this head to head. I would never put these two on the same page and i found myself unpicking the Porsche rather than comparing it to the Morgan. Despite the indifferences the 911 wins out.

If its styling fuses a little 6GT with a little 720S, I can't see it going far wrong.Building an SUV is a sad but perhaps necessary evil. Performance manufacturers should really look at a different set of priorities to luxury marques. A McLaren, Ferrari, Lambo, Porsche, or even Bentley SUV should be something that could conceivably win a race. Make the body low and wide, and if it has to be jacked up, make it jacked up for sand dunes and mud pits, not Kensington kerbs and speedbumps. Most importantly, make it weigh less! Else there's no S about it, it's just a big fat squishy UV.

There must be more.But this is none of those. Its Japanese, made in the '80s and sold here in reasonable numbers. But they are now firmly in the category of 'rare but nobody gives a st'. And only a handful remain. It's a car I've had a yearning to own and got outbid on one at auction many years ago. More recently I contacted a seller on FB, we agreed a price and then he blocked me...So I broke the first rule of car buying and bought one s

I'm debating what I do with a speedo conversion. Plus point with the Lockwood is you get mph and kph whereas converting it on the CAN leaves you with mph only. Or I could just leave it in Km. I'm fairly used to doing it in my head that way around. Of course, there was an incident in the Forester where I forgot it was converted and I took it up to an indicated 100 thinking 'this feels strangely fast'
