TRIED STARTING VEHICLE IN THE MORNING, TEMP WAS ABOUT 70 DEGREES, CAR HAS THE PUSH TO START BUTTON. BATTERY HAS BEEN REPLACED WITH AN AFTERMARKET YELLOW TOP DEEP CYCLE BATTERY ABOUT 2 MONTHS AGO. WHEN ATTEMPTING TO START, CAR ACTED AS IF THE BATTERY WAS VERY LOW IT TURNED OVER, DASH WENT BLACK FOR ABOUT 3 SECONDS AND CAR STARTED VERY FORCEFULLY. CAR HAD BEEN PARKED UNDER CARPORT FOR ABOUT 16 HOURS. THE DAY BEFORE CAR WAS IN THE SAME CONDITIONS AND STARTED RIGHT UP NO PROBLEMS.

CAR BATTERY CONSISTENTLY DIES EVEN WHEN VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN IN OPERATION FOR ONE FULL DAY. I HAVE A DASH CAM THAT IS IN OPERATION ALL THE TIME AND DISCONNECTED IT THINKING IT WAS THE PROBLEM. HOWEVER THE PROBLEM STILL PERSISTS. TODAY IS THE 10TH TIME THE CAR BATTERY HAS DIED IN 3 MONTHS.THIS TIME I HAD THE KEY IN THE SLOT TURNED ONE NOTCH (CAR ENGINE NOT TURNED ON) AND WAS PLAYING MUSIC VIA BLUETOOTH, WHEN SCREEN FLICKERED AND EVERYTHING WENT OUT. DEALERSHIP SAYS THERE IS NO ISSUE WITH BATTERY AND REFUSES TO CHANGE IT.

In dealer 2 different dealers for 2 computer failures 2x. So called repaired. Car hits the brakes by itself there is no way to turn off the radar on the front of the car. You have to remember to turn it off everytime you drive it. Then the gas pedal and brakes failed. The tow truck guy said just disconnect the battery for 15 minutes to re-set the Ecu. Well he did and I had to retrain the car how to shift over several days. Good thing the failure occured at 30mph. I am selling this. Left rear cross traffic sensor fell into rear bumper (adhesive failure?). This is the second incident. Toyota service manager claims it was knocked into bumper by external force although that is not what happened. The sensor failed when groceries were loaded into trunk during Covid. This is the exact sensor that was repaired by the service department previously claiming it was due to adhesive failure. There is no way to disable the sensor failure alarm on the dashboard display so there is a constant rear sensor failure alarm blinking constantly on the dashboard which is annoying.

Adding on to my other entry of problems regarding the battery, I have never had to replace a windshield wiper more often in my life. I am convinced this is an issue with the way the wiper mechanism is manufactured. None of the brand new windshield wipers ever last me 3 months without hearing that dreading squeaking sound. My other relatives who have newer Toyotas never have an issue. Their wiping action is clean and quiet, while mine leaves huge streaks on the windshield no matter what. I've tried cleaning the wiper blades, slightly oiling them, even putting on a tiny bit of lotion. I avoid ev

The longer I have this car, the more issues arise yearly. When this car was first bought as new I noticed that the car battery would die whenever I didn't drive for a single day. As the years pass the situation just gets worse. Today I was about to drive to work and found to my dismay that the car refuses to start. All of the warning notifications keep going off. I have been to the dealership 3 times paid for a battery replacement and battery terminal replacement. I was quoted a ridiculous rate for a engine wiring harness replacement, I had to get that replaced by a certified technician but the car is still doing the same thing. I am starting to feel like I was sold a lemon.

Doors come equipped with touch active door lock. Where you press on the door and it locks and if you put hand on the handle it will unlock. First the passenger door stopped working. It doesn’t lock the car. Now the driver seat stopped working. You have to lock doors manually and some times it won’t unlock the door for you after car is locked.

Panoramic sunroof issues. Sunroof is stuck in the open position. Motor clicks continuously but does not close. Toyota dealership only able to close top portion of sunroof and had to disconnect the motor. Sunroof not used often so this should not have happened, and vehicle is not that old. The cost to repair is outrageous.

multiple issues with radar sensors- disable parking assist, lane assist and rear traffic sensors due to constant malfunctioning - battery has been replaced twice within the past 6 months - vacuum pump for automatic break assist replaced APRIL 2024 - automatic brake assist failed while on vacation and car had to be driven without assisted breaks from New Orleans to Jackson MS for repair - car can only be driven in SPORT MODE otherwise there is concerning jerking and rough gear change and acceleration lag, this issue has been addressed since the date of purchase but no serious concerns expressed

Replaced car battery , vehicle constantly jerking pressing the accelerator. It took almost a month to stop with harsh jerking . Going on 3 months and still transmission slips or jerks when entering traffic or accelerating sporadically. Feels as car either loses power or can’t find gears while driving. Very dangerous.

My warning panel told me to take the car to dealer for reprogram, and dealer said my wiring harness for hybrid electric system had been chewed by rodents and the harness and probably batteries should be replaced NOW or the car might catch fire. I replaced the harness and the batteries. When I asked to see the parts, they said they had boxed and shipped. Later, a friend alerted me to a problem with Soy-based coatings on wires that rodents found tasty. My friend said his KIA had same problem and his insurance covered the expense .
