Having decided that I wanted to SORN my Boxster for the winter, it was time to look for a cheapish third car that wouldn t take up too much space. I've threatened to do this so here goes, I've got my anti-EV flame suit buttoned up and gone and leased a new Ford Explorer EV.It's an Extended Range Select rwd in Rapid Red and it arrived this morning.Any questions fire away. One little nugget though, it's on staggered wheels, 235 front and 255 rear. I don't know of any 'normal' car with that outside of say a 911 or the like.

Been an expensive week so far. Monday was monies and quotes concerning day one of buying a house, plus it peed down with rain all day. Yesterday was a lovely sunny day so in order to save money and take the little 4 month old Mazda for a spin, I decided to return my wrong prescription glasses to the factory in Amersham by hand. Oh how I now regret that Funny thing is I'm normally naughty in the 2 seater but I didn't go crazy on that bit of the M3 from Sunbury to the M25 junction. Enjoyed sitting at the limit and then the 60mph limits, followed by the 40mph limits. A mile from the turning west

Also had exactly this with my E46 after replacing the alternator with a refurbished Bosch unit, changed for a second refurbished alternator and seems to have stopped the random parasitic draw. Assuming again it was voltage leaking passed one of the diodes.

A very handsome car. I’ve played with the configurator and on the big wheels with the performance pack it’s more estate than SUV and all the better for it. With a set of coil overs it would look better still. Not cheap mind you but I’m considering it.
