This car and van insurance is getting more and more of a piss take every year, not only are they taking the piss by upping the amount drastically at every renewal now they are starting to renew it weeks before its even due.Had an email on the 26th October saying our van insurance is due for renewal on the 14th November (which I knew about anyway) and it was nearly £300 more expensive than last year. As others have said.A. You won't lose your NCD & even if you did you would be surprised how little difference it would actually make, it is not like you get 60% off or similar. Been there twice.B. The great majority of decent "approved" repairers will ask the question (or you can obviously) whether you need a car for the time the car is in for repair. They generally charge either nothing or just ask that you replace the fuel you use. Been there twice also obviously.
