A hideous car at launch which has somehow become almost stylish. Perhaps the latest 5 Series will do the same.

Horrible thing.I like the E60 but really dislike the tourer, I ran a 550 fir five years. I loved it for its engine but found the car to be overall dull.It was just too competent, you have to be doing three figures before you felt any speed.The V8 noise was great ( power flow exhaust) but I couldn’t imagine owning a diesel or straight six petrol version.I found myself borrowing my daughter R50 mini which was loads more fun.BMW’s will have only got more competent and duller imo.I know that’s not what this one is about, but ugly styling, ugly colour and black wheels.This has zero redeeming features.

Haha hadn’t noticed the Psychic College sign Thanks Simon on the brakes recommendation also along with spec upgrades on the B8.5 - didn’t know that.Throw in some Ohlins or KW’s and you could have quite the weapon!
In a multi story that I was using earlier this evening, the MOT ran out in May 24. I do find the car park ones odd, I've seen other seemingly abandoned cars in other car parks, I'd love to know the reasons.
I had a 525d M-sport, also in silver and a 57 plate, so about 3-4 years old at the time - I remember it being quite pleasant - not exactly fast, but a nice drive.Picked up a hitch-hiker one day and he remarked 'not often you get picked up in this kind of car' - I asked him what he meant and he said 'like an old man car'.I was about 35.unconnected because who really cares, but I traded it for an F11 530d about a year later - felt much bigger, but was a lovely place to be.
I think it would be nice to keep this thread going, for convenience if nothing else!Congrats on the purchase, that's mega! I've been eyeing up the RS now the 599 is out of my budget, but ooft they're spenny.If the gear ratios really are that long, I believe there's a short ratio diff that can be fitted?I wish you many happy miles

A somewhat unbalanced duo which is acknowledged from the start in this head to head. I would never put these two on the same page and i found myself unpicking the Porsche rather than comparing it to the Morgan. Despite the indifferences the 911 wins out.

I got the make and basic model in three - not Cardle's answer though. Ironically I intended to type in Challenger but ended up typing Charger for some reason - so I got it right by default!

If its styling fuses a little 6GT with a little 720S, I can't see it going far wrong.Building an SUV is a sad but perhaps necessary evil. Performance manufacturers should really look at a different set of priorities to luxury marques. A McLaren, Ferrari, Lambo, Porsche, or even Bentley SUV should be something that could conceivably win a race. Make the body low and wide, and if it has to be jacked up, make it jacked up for sand dunes and mud pits, not Kensington kerbs and speedbumps. Most importantly, make it weigh less! Else there's no S about it, it's just a big fat squishy UV.
