I had a 525d M-sport, also in silver and a 57 plate, so about 3-4 years old at the time - I remember it being quite pleasant - not exactly fast, but a nice drive.Picked up a hitch-hiker one day and he remarked 'not often you get picked up in this kind of car' - I asked him what he meant and he said 'like an old man car'.I was about 35.unconnected because who really cares, but I traded it for an F11 530d about a year later - felt much bigger, but was a lovely place to be.

I got a tank of Super (Jet brand) for 175.9 yesterday. E10 was 10p below that. Seems to be a slight move in the right direction although that garage is always cheaper than the one down the road. As others have said.A. You won't lose your NCD & even if you did you would be surprised how little difference it would actually make, it is not like you get 60% off or similar. Been there twice.B. The great majority of decent "approved" repairers will ask the question (or you can obviously) whether you need a car for the time the car is in for repair. They generally charge either nothing or just ask that you replace the fuel you use. Been there twice also obviously.

With the untimely death of my daily Ford Focus Estate Titanium X recently it was time to find a new daily. This car and van insurance is getting more and more of a piss take every year, not only are they taking the piss by upping the amount drastically at every renewal now they are starting to renew it weeks before its even due.Had an email on the 26th October saying our van insurance is due for renewal on the 14th November (which I knew about anyway) and it was nearly £300 more expensive than last year. Been an expensive week so far. Monday was monies and quotes concerning day one of buying a house, plus it peed down with rain all day.
