I am still pottering around in a variety of rental cars (on expenses) as my own motorcar is still languishing at the Ford dealer due to lack of parts (how that happens for a vehicle still in production Lord Knows).Anyway, this week's vehicle is a Citroen C4 which I was surprised to see was on 65.5k miles (on a '23' plate).It even failed its first MoT in June - https://vehiclescore.co.uk/score?registration=BW23...Such an old and leggy car seems strange to be in stock with a major rental company. So for the last 3 years I've had my first electric car, its fast 0 to 60 in 3.7 and I'm conscious driving it has changed my driving style/behaviours , for example on one hand it makes me feel safer having the extra power, eg joining onto a motorway , pulling away from roundabouts . However is also makes me more frustrated at slower drivers and more likely to overtake , take a car doing 25 in a 30 for example.As I know I can overtake fairly easy , I'm begining to wonder if driving cars like this can make you a worse driver. 지난 일주일간 와이퍼가 3번 임의로 자동 작동했습니다. 매번 스위치를 껐다 켜면 정상으로 돌아옵니다. 다른 전기 문제는 보이지 않습니다. 한 달간 사용하지 않았는데 스위치가 갑자기 고장 나는 것이 이상합니다. 어제 달라스 교통 체증 중에 차가 과열되기 시작했고(약 220°F), 엔진이 꺼졌습니다. 아마 컴퓨터가 손상을 방지하기 위해 엔진을 끈 것 같습니다.

1998 크라이슬러 세브링 컨버터블, 160,000마일. 주로 시속 70-80mph 고속도로 주행(주 5일, 100마일). 2년 전 고품질 휠 베어링 교체 및 브레이크, 로터 교체. 타이어 편마모 및 브레이크 편마모 발생.

2012 기아 포르테 세단(에코 패키지)에 모바일 아마추어 무선기를 장착하려고 하는데, 실내에서 엔진룸으로 전원선을 통과시킬 수 있는 그로밋(러그)을 찾기 어려움

연료 시스템(귀환 라인과 진공식 연료 압력 레귤레이터 포함)에서 진공이 공급되지 않을 때도 연료가 귀환 라인을 통해 흘러가는지 확인 필요. 스프링이 밸브를 닫고 있고 다이어프램에 진공이 적용되면 매니폴드 진공 양에 따라 밸브가 열리는데, 과도한 연료 압력만으로도 밸브가 강제로 열리는지 여부.

냉각수 교환

2001 Toyota 4Runner SR5, 265,000마일. 2일간 미주행 후 엔진 하부에서 소량(약 2티스푼) 누유 발견. 투명하고 약간 붉은색 띠, 냄새 없음, 약간 기름진 질감. 냉각수 레벨이 마지막 점검 시보다 약간 낮을 수 있음. 트랜스미션 오일은 정상. 트랜스미션 영역에서 누유 확인.

DIY 서스펜션 및 스트럿 분해/조립 작업을 여러 해에 걸쳐 수행했으며, 마운트, 스트럿, 코일 스프링을 모두 교체함. 손상되지 않았고 외관 상태가 양호한(심한 녹슬음이나 코팅 벗겨짐 없음, 한쪽 끝이 처지지 않음) 코일 스프링의 교체 필요 시기를 판단하는 방법을 알고 싶음. 코일 스프링이 차량의 수명까지 지속될 수 있는지 궁금함.

사고 차량 점검

GT86 전면 충돌 사고로 인한 헤드라이트, 라디에이터 서포트, 에어박스, 라디에이터, 에어백 시스템 손상. OEM 헤드라이트 교체 비용이 높아(약 £600~£900) 애프터마켓 제품 사용 검토 중.

타이어의 일부가 떨어져 나갔는지 확인 중. 타이어 공기 누수 여부를 판단하기 어려움. 현재 타이어 압력은 정상으로 보임. Volkswagen Jetta 2008 모델.

2004 Mercury Monterey V6. 겨울철 인젝터 교체 및 O2 센서 4개 교체 후 촉매변환기 손상으로 인해 주(state) 검사 불합격. 새 촉매변환기 설치 후 P0171(연료 시스템이 너무 희박), P0430(촉매변환기 시스템 효율 저하) 코드 발생. 설치 직후 배기관과 매니폴드 연결부 플랜지에서 배기 누출이 의심되었으나, 현재 4개 볼트(각 연결부마다 2개씩) 모두 매우 타이트함.
