New car time for me. I picked this up this week after a 6 week delay thanks to the JLR cyber attack. I ordered it back in June so the overall wait hasn't been terrible. It replaces an M3 Touring that was great but felt a bit small at times. Since the Octa was announced I've loved the idea and all reviews of it are fantastic. The new Defender has grown on me since its introduction and the Octa really does seem to be a car that ticks most boxes for me.They come pretty well loaded as standard. I chose the standard car over the Edition One as I'm not a fan of huge amounts of carbon fibre. C

Scrolling on Instagram, I spotted this videohttps://www.instagram.com/reel/Dd1-9nvNB-_/?stkn=M...They had to separate the body and drivetrain of an Aston Martin Rapide because a nut had come loose on the wiper mechanism. Massive bill for a simple fix. It got me think back to my dads mk3 mondeo which was meant to be a bumper off job to swap a headlight bulb. I think the 2nd gen Renault Megane was the same. What else is there out there that requires a degree in engineering, a 4 poster lift and a snap on lorry full of tools to change a fuse or something equally as easy?

I need to allow a relative to drive my car for a day at the end of the month, I have spoken to my insurer and on principle they allow this as long a it is specific temporary cover as the underwriter doesn't allow dual insurance.How does this work? Any stand out companies that you have used?

Many decades ago we needed trade unions to protect employees from blood-sucking SMEs. Maroc Challenge rules stipulate the need to carry sand tracks, a shovel and extra fuel. A second spare is strongly recommended. Although this is extra weight high up it is within the manufacturers limit for the LR expedition rack.

My SD1 tale (have told it before I expect but hey) was after finishing my O levels (last year before GCSEs) my parents werent expecting a stellar result, they were having some plumbing done by a bloke called Rodney who was maybe 30 ish. Change management is a bugger, so hard to get ideas to evolve and be accepted. It's borne out of a marketing/plc necessity with a tiny production run so they can hype it as sold out and gradually it will be accepted or the plc is in trouble looking 10-20 yrs out (the old adage of any press is free advertising probably has worked)There's so much money sloshing in the upper echelons it will make a great commuting car for your well bonused bankerNot for me but I'm a house or so short of the asking price, so my opinion is worthless......

The hatchback grew on me a few years after release, and now I think it’s my favourite shape. But never liked them in white for some reason, in that colour they just seem unpainted to my eyes.
