Maroc Challenge rules stipulate the need to carry sand tracks, a shovel and extra fuel. A second spare is strongly recommended. Although this is extra weight high up it is within the manufacturers limit for the LR expedition rack.
anomaly said: Thanks. I considered this and agree with you re weight. However the wheel and tyre are big and don't fit in the boot without dropping the rear seats. It would be difficult to lash it down securely and there's quite a bit of other stuff to go in there too. I also want to try and keep the interior as clean and sand free as possible (a big ask I know!) and a great big dirty wheel and tyre would not help. It's well within the weight limit for the roof and rack so hopefully will not affect us too much.It may sound sacraledge for something as lovely as an Octa but I’d have considered swapping the back seats out for a commercial Hardtop rear section with firewall. It only takes a few hours to do (my Hardtop had the rear seat conversion) and doesn’t involve any drilling/alterations. You’d end up with multiple lashing points and more hidden storage.I’m sure the commercial bits are dirt cheap too as no one wants them-mins have been in the basement for 2 years!

Tiglon said: Hate these. I used to work in Marlow which had width restriction bollards at each end of the bridge (they've been removed now, so it's just a kerb instead which is bad but not quite as bad). In theory, they were 2m at both ends of the bridge, but I discovered that these could be adjusted (and had been adjusted) so that one end was wider. This meant that vehicles slightly wider than 2m could get on the bridge, but couldn't get off the other side...I had to help take them off at the narrower end because a Land Rover towing a trailer with a bull in it had got through one end of the

In a multi story that I was using earlier this evening, the MOT ran out in May 24. I do find the car park ones odd, I've seen other seemingly abandoned cars in other car parks, I'd love to know the reasons.

A somewhat unbalanced duo which is acknowledged from the start in this head to head. I would never put these two on the same page and i found myself unpicking the Porsche rather than comparing it to the Morgan. Despite the indifferences the 911 wins out.

I got the make and basic model in three - not Cardle's answer though. Ironically I intended to type in Challenger but ended up typing Charger for some reason - so I got it right by default!

If its styling fuses a little 6GT with a little 720S, I can't see it going far wrong.Building an SUV is a sad but perhaps necessary evil. Performance manufacturers should really look at a different set of priorities to luxury marques. A McLaren, Ferrari, Lambo, Porsche, or even Bentley SUV should be something that could conceivably win a race. Make the body low and wide, and if it has to be jacked up, make it jacked up for sand dunes and mud pits, not Kensington kerbs and speedbumps. Most importantly, make it weigh less! Else there's no S about it, it's just a big fat squishy UV.
