I have always been into GT cars from a simpler time but I have never started a readers cars thread before. I was a passenger in a work colleague’s car last week, and despite it only being 5 years old, it had done over 130,000 miles. We got chatting the mileage and my colleague pointed out that she lives 90 miles from the office, and therefore a return trip was 180 miles. She comes into the office about 3 times per week on average, and accounting for holidays, she puts 24,000 miles a year on her car just to come to work. She then does another 2000-3000 miles per year in personal/social use.I was honestly astonished by this. All sorts of things went through my mind, not to mention the sheer cost. Buy

Which of these cars would you rather have your 4ft tall child hit by at 20mph.I think the Quattroporte would take them out below waist height and they’d roll onto the bonnet, run up there to the raked screen and be spat out to one side whilst the car comes to a stop a little further along.Looking at the waist height/height of bonnet of the X7 it’s just going to slap them in the chest/face at bonnet badge level, knock them straight down in front of the car (they won’t end up on bonnet, it’s too high) and run them over.Or maybe the science says otherwise.

Bought mine (ABT 400) in June 2020 and I have covered about 65000kms. I buy it for about 30k euros from a dealer here inTorino. Fantastic cars totally understated Got rid of most of the Orange copper bits on the outside. Plain Silver now. The Ride is quite hard.& does about 28ishmpg. I will keep it for a long while yet Love it

Fantastic cars totally understated Got rid of most of the Orange copper bits on the outside. Plain Silver now. The Ride is quite hard.& does about 28ishmpg. I will keep it for a long while yet Love it

I reckon I do 12,000 miles a year commuting to work. I’m looks in that my employer covers about 9,000 miles a year as it’s not my choice to work where I do. I put about another 3,000 miles a year on my car, but that is increasing as my wife just swapped her plug in hybrid xc60T8 for a 6.2l V8. So the miles we were doing in electric on her old Volvo now get put on mine. So all up I reckon 12k commute and 6k personal.

I really like this and could definitely see myself owning one. The Bentley doesn’t do it for me.Messing around in the configuration, my green against tan with no privacy appears unavailable but maybe that’s because of First Edition spec limits.
