My girlfriends car, along with another one in the same parking lot were broken into last night. They took her radio surprisingly without damaging the dash. From the neighbor's car they stole ID's and gift cards. It's has my blood boiling and I know most thieves can disarm modern alarm systems these days. I was thinking of making something that would cause panic and make them bail before being able to steal anything. One of my ideas is installing a set of super bright lights tucked behind the top part of the backseat where it meets the back window panel. Rig it to the some light switch that act

Well there's a surprise, the police can't be bothered to take any action against the Mercedes driver. I have asked them for an explanation as to why but doubt I will get one. It wouldn't surprise me if this isn't the first time he's done this to someone and it won't be the last. They had better not come wanting help from me in future as it won't be forthcoming. I just hope the next time he damages someone's property and gives them attitude they lay the scumbag out.

변속기 오일 교환

1998 닛산 센트라 자동변속기가 역주행 중 내리막길에서 중립으로 변속됨. 2주 전부터 시작됨. 처음 몇 번은 엔진이 꺼짐. 엔진 재시동 후 시프트 레버를 앞뒤로 움직여서 드라이브 단으로 재진입함.

우측 엔진 마운트 완전히 파손됨. 운행 중 드라이브트레인에서 이상 노킹 발생. 람다(O2) 센서 배선 손상으로 O2 센서 오류 코드 발생.

AC 컨트롤 패널 조명과 헤드라이트 조절 기능이 약 일주일 전부터 작동하지 않음. AC 컨트롤 조명이 꺼져 있고, 헤드라이트 조절이 완전히 작동하지 않아 최저 위치에 고정됨. 나머지 기능은 정상 작동.

97 Corolla Levin 엔진 스왑 작업 중 엔진(트랜스미션 제거됨)을 안전하게 고정하고 작업할 수 있는 방법을 찾는 중. 현재 타이어와 팔렛 위에 놓여있는 상태. 일반 엔진 스탠드는 사용 불가능하고, 엔진 크레인으로 계속 달아놓고 작업하는 것보다 더 안전하고 효율적인 방법이 필요함.

얼터네이터 교환

1994 푸조 205 TD 디젤 엔진. 인젝터 리턴 라인에서 디젤 누유 발생했던 상태. 수리 후 알터네이터가 고장남 (2년 사이 3번째). 엔진 운전 중 12.5V 출력, 여자 회로(Exciter) 6~7V, 배터리 경고등이 엔진 운전 중에도 약간 켜짐. 디젤 누유가 알터네이터를 파괴하는 메커니즘이 무엇인지, 수리 가능 여부 확인 필요.

89년식 마즈다 626 LX. 기어 선택봉이 기어가 들어간 상태에서도 매우 헐거움. 기어 변속은 정상이고 슬립 현상 없음. 기어가 들어간 상태에서도 선택봉을 앞뒤로 움직일 수 있음 (중립 상태처럼)

겨울철 얼음 위에서 바퀴가 헛돌 때 타이어에서 타는 냄새가 남. 바퀴가 미끄러지면서 연기와 함께 타이어가 과열되는 것처럼 보임. 얼음 위에서는 마찰력이 거의 없을 것으로 예상되지만 실제로는 타이어가 손상되는 현상 발생.

2000 Mazda Protege 와이퍼가 작동 불능. 수 주 동안 간헐적으로 작동 중단 후 재시작되는 증상 발생. 와이퍼 암을 흔들면 다시 작동. 최종적으로 완전히 작동 중단. 와이퍼 모터 고장의 전형적인 징후(힘들게 움직임)는 없었고, 작동할 때는 속도 정상, 눈 제거 성능 정상.

엔진 밸런스에 대해 혼란스러움. 1차 밸런스(피스톤의 앞뒤 회전)는 어느 정도 이해하지만, 2차 엔진 밸런스는 전혀 이해가 안 감.

배터리가 충전 상태를 유지하지 못함. 이미 두 번째 배터리(중고/재생 배터리)로 교체했음. 1주일 전에는 48시간 동안 운행하지 않으면 방전되었으나, 현재는 24시간 후 방전됨. 기생 전류 테스트 결과 초기 0.3A에서 0.08A로 감소(전기 장치가 전력 절약 모드로 전환되는 것으로 추정). 0.08A는 문제가 될 정도는 아닌 것으로 보임.

Volvo makes safe cars which are not only the bare minimum in passing NCAP but offer real safety.For example crashing into a stopped lorry at 40mph I am sure there will be no intrusion into the Volvo cabin. Which other crossover will be the same? Sure they all will pass a standardised test but cruising into a lorry that is stopped or suddenly stops or a full sized SUV crashing into the crossover at 50mph which crossover will be closest to the Volvo in safety.
