There’s been a few times when I started my car to head to work and something appears on the dash board that reads ( Air bag malfunction) Then it’s gives me a hard time to steer the car. This has happened ample times. So when it does happen I have to shut the car off and then turn it back on so that the issue on the dash board disappears. I do this 2 to 3 times until it clears. I have had issues with the breaks since I purchased the vehicle. The first recall I got the vacuum pump replaced. I still have the same issue. I have been having the break issue but recently had an issue slamming on my breaks after someone was coming around the corner too fast in my garage and feeling pushback from the break petal and not breaking fully. 1st Occurance: Approaching stop sign getting off freeway and brake pedal was hard to depress and brakes slow to work, pulled emergency brake to stop vehicle just in time. Brake booster failed 1 yr ago. At that time, I was told my car does not qualify for the recall because of the VIN batch. So repairs were made out of pocket. Now, I have a letter from Toyota stating I can get reimbursed for the parts and labor. Great! But when I follow the instructions from the letter to navigate the website, the final instruction states to click on "Submit Reimbursement Request". It does NOT exist. I bought a new car back in June this year and the car comes with summer performance tires. I live in Minnesota and now it's December, so I really want to get snow tires installed instead of driving in summer tires (since I've read that this may damage the treads). So my question: is it a good idea to keep the summer tires I have and buy new snow tires and mount them for now and when the winter is over, put those summer tires back on? I know nothing about mounting tires, so I'm concerned that changing tires every year would damage the wheels.
