I ve tucked the car away while the weather is grim and used that time to get a few jobs done, fluids changed etc. took all the suspension off and replaced it with bilstein b14, new top mounts and bushes, camber mod. Would have changed the brake flexies and changed the brake fluid. Whoever rebuilt the callipers put the old rusty hardware and bleednipples in and snapped one of them off! Half way through machine polishing at the moment then might try ceramic coating. The only other mod I think I ll do is a BDS intake, other than that just maintenance. I did the BDS elbow, the OEM dry K&N filter and drilled a few holes in the air box behind the headlight - made a superb sound Not sure I'd want to layout for his full intake, the elbow was expensive enough for what it is!

Great thread! I love my 130i - it's a great on road package.I got a thinner BMW steering wheel which improved feel by a fair bit. Picked up a set of 17" Style 304s as I find the ride a bit tough at town speeds. Will be fitting some new tyres next week - more Assymetric 6s Next job will be the sound and a remap as mine is completely standard in that respect.It is a do-it-all car. Tracks, skidpans, road trips, school runs etc. It laps it all up and given it's an old BMW, no one pays it any attention whatsoever. Hi all.I used to work as an IT contractor for JLR, which was my first real exposure to how OEMs work.That being said, I regret not being able to use my time more wisely there, in terms of learning more about how OEMs operate.I have a few questions if anyone wouldn't mind answering some of them: How many dealerships are still OEM-owned versus franchised? https://www.am-online.com/AM100/ gives me the largest franchised dealer groups, but how many can sell D2C? Reading https://www.bcg.com/publications/2023/shifting-to-... suggests that, in the age of online, it is only the MSRP that matters now.
