Stunning car this, everything about it is just perfect. Late 90's into late 00's are the absolute peak JDM era, and cars in general imo. On a semi regular basis I keep thinking about what I'd replace my JDM car for, and consistently the answer is only one thing, but then I drive it again and any urge to sell completely disappears. There's many ways to go a lot faster, there's very few ways to take the wife and my 4 year old while also having something that just feels so raw when you're on it.

Shorter driver and you could have a child seated behind. We’ve used it on occasion as a family but it isn’t it’s forte by any means. Not too much to update.F11 - oil change (6k since last) and MOT no advisory pass. For how cheap an oil change is I will just change the oil every year at the MOT for this car. Tyres all around 3mm currently. Think I will give the Conti SportContact 7’s a go all round once the current lot are completely dead. No issues with the car (other than some headlight condensation resolved by removing the top caps). 9 times out of 10 it’s the better car to be in than the GT

With the possible exception of the colour, what a lovely car. They got a bit too blingy and muscle bound after this, for my tastes. I had one of these. Loved it.

Writing the title made me wonder how many rear engined coupes have existed. I got 911 (obviously), some Alpines, Delorean, Fiat / Abarth versions of the 850. There must be more.But this is none of those. Its Japanese, made in the '80s and sold here in reasonable numbers. But they are now firmly in the category of 'rare but nobody gives a st'. And only a handful remain. It's a car I've had a yearning to own and got outbid on one at auction many years ago.
