증상
Mercedes C180 T에서 엔진이 식은 후 트렁크를 열거나 트렁크 오프너 버튼을 눌렀을 때 휘발유 냄새가 난다. 5-10분 동안 엔진을 시동하지 않으면 냄새가 나지만 누유는 보이지 않는다. 같은 단계를 반복하면 3번째 이후로는 재현되지 않으며, 엔진을 데운 후 다시 식혀야 문제가 재현된다.
처리 내용
연료 증기 회수 시스템(Fuel Vapor Recovery System)에서 누유가 발생한 것으로 추정된다. 이 시스템은 휘발유 증기 배출을 줄이기 위해 설계되었다. 연료 탱크가 완전히 밀폐되어 있으면, 연료 사용 시 탱크 내부에 진공이 생긴다. 연료 증기 시스템은 공기가 탱크로 들어올 수 있게 하며, 탱크 내 증기를 포집하여 약간의 진공을 유지한다. 포집된 증기(액체 연료로 변환됨)는 주기적으로 엔진으로 보내져 연소된다. 이는 엔진 컴퓨터 제어 시스템으로 여러 입출력 포인트가 있어 누유 위치가 많을 수 있다. 엔진 룸 쪽 연료 증기 회수 시스템 라인이나 활성탄 캐니스터(Charcoal Canister) 부근에서 누유가 발생했을 가능성이 높다. 연료 시스템 압력 테스트와 연료 증기 누유 테스트(Smoke Test)를 실시하여 정확한 누유 위치를 파악하기를 권장한다.

My neighbour had the 2.4 5 pot in her Fiat something or other estate. Sounded very nice, Audi Quattro-ish.She was the quintessential Hyasyth Bucket type. Later she bought a Smart and kept telling me it was made by Mercedes 'don't you know'.

Glad you're ok, and a warm welcome to the 'Small car vs Mercedes 4x4' club. Membership is now 2 of us . I was in my Smart Fortwo and got rear ended by a Mercedes ML. Hopefully the Twizy is fixable.

Seems good condition & obvious curio out of all the hatches of the time.Treat it like a mini exotic GT car rather than a Type R rival & I recckon it fits the brief.Price wise given the scarcity of these is about correct for the right enthusiast.
