Its just clicked past 125,000 miles so a low miler compared with some on here, but still higher mileage than most Brits seem comfortable with. Has an issue with a corroded fog light holder so the warning light keeps flicking on, but otherwise a full service and no other parts needed changing. Obviously the cost of diesel is an issue but I get a fuel allowance for my hybrid role meaning I basically fuel my car for free. It works out that I get £286 per work trip and do about 800 miles a month on average. Even at £9 a gallon, I am in credit each month for fuel. It has cost me £320 this year on servicing and then the price of an MOT. Last year was more expensive as some discs and pads needed doing, but for me its cheap motoring, given its not on finance, but owned outright and just keeps ticking along. So yeah, a new EV sometimes is appealing to me I won't lie, but I can't really see a reason to change vehicles given my fuel allowance and dependable old diesel. Yeah, I'm with you on the fuel allowance thing. Having jumped from the Vectra petrol as you know, and now into my ageing "on life support" shed 318d myself I'm seeing a notable difference in what I'm keeping from my business mileage, it's stupendously economical for what it is.Even with the potential issues that come with diesels, I will probably still look to get another petrol shed, once/if this expires mind, diesels I've forgotten are terribly smelly things, miss the sweet unleaded smellThis is very pertinent - the fuel economy uplift can easily be wiped out by even a medium sized bill from a diesel shed. IMO they're also harder to find, a deceased spec e.g. Toyota petrol makes a great shed, it's unlikely the person who purchased it new would have wanted a diesel so petrol sheds are more ubiquitous. They also lead easier lives as a result of the demographic buying them! That is baloney, been

I suspect an Auto 525i isn't going to be a ball of fire - probably why I replaced my 325i with a 330i after just a year - but if you got a year out of it for that money it's a decent Shed. Although with new injectors costing over £500 each and potential HPFP issues maybe it's a Brave Pill as much as a Shed! The first E6*s had the M54 and then the N52 so one of those would be a safer bet, even if it cost a bit more.

Haha hadn’t noticed the Psychic College sign Thanks Simon on the brakes recommendation also along with spec upgrades on the B8.5 - didn’t know that.Throw in some Ohlins or KW’s and you could have quite the weapon!
In a multi story that I was using earlier this evening, the MOT ran out in May 24. I do find the car park ones odd, I've seen other seemingly abandoned cars in other car parks, I'd love to know the reasons.

You may have read my post previously about the Overland Yeti / subsequent Yeti TSI conversion which appears to have inspired a couple of PHers so far to head to Morocco, which is great! it has been awesome reading of poppopbangbang's Cayenne adventure and CA with his L405.https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...Well anyone that read the original thread will know that things didn't go completely to plan and ultimately we were let down by road car build quality which just isn't that suitable to the trials and tribulations of overland action (at least not at the hands of amateurs, an

Quite like that. Seems good condition & obvious curio out of all the hatches of the time.Treat it like a mini exotic GT car rather than a Type R rival & I recckon it fits the brief.Price wise given the scarcity of these is about correct for the right enthusiast. Should get some money off as well I would argue.

Take the car for what it was meant to do in the time period it was made. The 6 cylinder Omega, Carlton, Senator, not to mention the Monza were all good cars. In my humble opinion if you want to see rubbish just go to any main dealer today.
