I have a 2001 Pontiac Grand Am SE 2.4 and I’m dealing with a no start problem that I can’t figure out. I’m thinking it’s probably the fuel pump, but it could also be the ignition switch or maybe crankshaft/camshaft sensor. This all started a couple months ago. I have a 2018 Toyota Camry XSE with 67,000 miles. The car started making a clinking noise when driving over small bumps, increasingly getting louder over the course of a few days. I took it in to a mechanic and both the left and right strut mounts and coils were rusted and fully cracked . When lifted, both front tires fell to the sides. I just had new winter tires put on my 2003 Honda Civic 4-door LX. The steering has been affected. The steering now feels "weak" or "light" or "loose". I drive a Ford Fiesta which has clocked 110 000km total. When I cross 100-120km/h on a smooth road, the steering wheel starts to vibrate, and the vibration reduces when I reduce my speed. I guessed the problem was in the tires, so I replaced the front tires with new ones, but I still get that vibration at high speeds. I measured the PSI on my rear driver tire (using a gauge pin - push it into the needle and a stick pops out with a reading), and I got a reading of 22 PSI. I got 4 new Michelin Energy Saver A/S tires for my 2012 Camry a few months ago. One tire blew out over the weekend, it got a screw in the center of the tread and apparently lost air fast causing the sidewall to blow out. The set of tires has about 15K miles on them, they are warrantied thru 65K. Am I fine with getting just one new tire or should I get a pair? I will be getting the exact same model tire. So today was that epic event of walking out into the parking lot at high noon, sun blazing, and finding out you have a completely flat tire. When shopping for new tires from tirerack.com , the production date of the tires is listed. I'm considering tires from a 2007 production run, which would make them around 5 years old today (after damaging a tire, I'm looking at buying a pair of the same tires to match whats already on the car). I change tires seasonally between high performance summer and studless snow/ice, so a given set of tires can last me quite a while. My car honda CR-V is in pretty desperate need of new tires. I've put away a small amount from my last few paycheques, but it's not a whole lot. I'm curious as to whether you would feel it's a better choice to purchase cheap winter tires (GT Radial, Falken Tire, Ironman, etc.) or a high-quality all season? I can sink a little more if it means not having to purchase again in 6 months. By the way,I don't drive outside of the city at all in the winter. Working on an overheating issue on my 2008 Mustang GT. Car starts normally after sitting all night and fan starts up when I click on the AC.
