Have you forgotten the Jaguar XF RS Sportbrake supercharged 5.0 V8. This is surely the ultimate 'wolf in sheeps clothing ' spotsbrake?
Immediately drawn to the Alpina, especially because it’s pre-LCI – ie, it doesn’t have the LCI’s vile LED-plank dash – but imho black Alcantara seats wear horribly. And, ta-dah, it’s yet another PH Auctions “all that glisters is not gold” special:“Main dealer service invoices showing inspection at the following intervals: 2023 @ 12,998 miles, 2026 @ 31,314 miles, 2026 @ 32,024 miles.”Ergo, the sole owner couldn’t be arsed to schedule the car’s 2nd service until 3 years and 18,316 miles after its 1st, and then there’s the weird MOT failure. All of which indicates an owner who DGAF.The RS4’s undertakers’ support vehicle spec is grim, so I’ll have the Volvo please.

However, quickly arrive behind a snail-moving vehicle. Country lane, but quite wide and easy to make progress. Except we have the brake lights in front sending out Morse Code signals; applies them for almost everything (or imagined). Next, traffic lights, stops, and then turns left, no signal, and snail acceleration; we've still got the Morse Code signals going. We proceed like this, at about half the speed the road is capable of, for about

(Had something very similar just 30 minutes ago - row of parked cars my side, car in front waiting for oncoming traffic, but I hung back ~1.5 to 2 car lengths just to give me some wiggle room, sitting with my brake lights on and at least 2ft from the kerb. Dumbfk in a new Volvo comes steaming up past me before looking past the end of his nose and seeing that there's a car coming

Got a manual Mk 7.5 Gti for the boy last week although I’ve been the one driving it at every opportunity so far. It’s a fantastic thing that handles, brakes and steers in the most engaging way with the engine having both torque and revs.Exterior compared to the Mk 8 is actually very similar and I still find it hard to spot the difference. Interior I much prefer of course although there is more hard plastic than I was expecting. I think the Audi S3, pre 2024 to avoid driving aids, would be the upgrade although you then lose the manual.Have they fixed the non draining fuel filler compartment wit
