I'm learning about catalytic converters, and learned that a car with a functioning converter doesn't output carbon monoxide (CO) because it converts it into carbon dioxide (CO2) and water (H2O). How exactly does someone die of CO poisoning if they leave the car running, if the converter ensures this doesn't happen? Is there a step I'm missing? It looks the business from the outside and those rocker switches do look quite cool. I'm not sure the badge is established enough to sell too many over here at this money though. While certainly not all, I don't think it's controversial to say a majority of buyers for £70k SUVs are at least a bit interested in perceived status.Mind you, you have to start building that reputation somewhere. They just have. My 2006 e class looks like a normal size car these days. Especially the width of it. Even driving an F10 5 series feels scary on some roads, can’t imagine what the latest 5 is like to drive around the countryside.

Given there were only 5 new GranCabrio Trofeo’s registered in 2024 I can’t imagine Maserati are targeting much more than double figures per year for this one. Might be £50k less than a DB12 upfront but the Aston would be cheaper to lease / save the difference in depreciation which would make this a tough choice…

I did that screw years back, and didn’t really get on with it.Interestingly the Emira’s weight distribution is a bit 911-like with the rear bias, but I far preferred the feel of the Lotus to the Porsche.I also got constantly annoyed by getting my hands filthy in the 911 when opening the bonnet to get my luggage out…
