I know this is a pointless rant but I am beginning to feel as though I am the only sane person to drive on the roads in Oxfordshire and wanted to see if I was alone in this observation.In the good old days (I'm 39) most people would drive at a sensible speed. Every now and again you would meet a little old lady driving at 40mph but in general that was the exception rather than the norm. I had a white MK2 8v 5 soor big bumper on a H back in the day and then I bought a G 8v big bumper 3 door later on but it had the 8v ripped out and a 1.9TDI fitted circa 170bhp, that was fun. This was my 1.9TDI, it was royal blueStupidly one day let a mate try and solder a new glow plug harness into it, which fried the ECU. I ended up selling it to a MK2 Golf spares place basically as he wanted the Porsche door handles and glovebox lock, the engine was taken out

변속기 오일 교환

포드 피에스타 수동변속기에서 부드럽게 운전할 때 클러치 페달을 밟은 후 1초 이상 기어 변속이 지연됨. 클러치를 밟고 천천히 기어를 빼면서 다음 기어로 넣을 때 기어봉이 자동으로 당겨지는 느낌이 남. 기어봉을 살짝만 밀면 저항 없이 부드럽게 들어감. 빠르게 변속할 때만 저항이 발생.

타이어에 큰 나사가 박혀있음. 깨끗한 천공이지만 패치 수리에는 너무 큼. 나사를 제거했을 때 나사 외경이 약 0.31인치로 측정됨 (샤프트 소경은 더 작음). 2인치 이상 길이의 둥근 팁 나사가 완벽한 천공을 만든 점이 놀라움.

2000 Mazda Milenia S Millennium edition에서 약 20분 주행 후 엔진이 2500 RPM 이상으로 회전하지 않음. 가속 페달을 끝까지 밟아도 2500 RPM을 넘지 않으며, 전자적으로 제한되는 것처럼 느껴짐. 시동 후 처음 20분 정도는 정상 주행되고 기계적 결함은 없는 것으로 보임.

2004 Ford Taurus 오일 교환 중 배기 시스템에서 심한 누유 발견

배기관이 플랜지 근처에서 2조각으로 부러짐. 임시 수리로 파이프 조각을 고온 에폭시와 고온 실리콘으로 접착했으나 배기열로 인해 손상되어 파이프가 떨어짐. 재수리 시 배기 밴드 클램프 사용 중 파이프 OD 2"에 맞는 최소 사이즈 클램프를 찾기 어려움.

타타 윙거가 0-100km/h를 약 19-20초에 가속한다고 할 때, 이것이 어떻게 측정되는가? 특정 기어에서만 가속하는 것인가, 아니면 모든 기어를 사용해 정상적으로 가속하는 것인가? 예를 들어 0-20km/h를 5초에 가속한다고 측정했을 때, 이를 외삽하여 0-100km/h 가속을 계산할 수 있는가? 선형 곡선이 유효한가?

포드 포커스 1.8 Ghia '99 모델에서 배기구 위의 알루미늄 heat shield 대부분이 떨어져 나갔고, 몇 개월 후 저회전 범위에서 의심스러운 알루미늄 같은 딸그락거리는 소리가 나는데, 남아있는 heat shield 볼트가 풀려 있을 가능성이 있음.

냉각수 교환

냉각수가 계속 새고 있습니다. 진단 결과 쿨란트 플랜지(coolant flange)에 구멍이 있다고 했습니다. 엔진 뒤쪽에 위치해 있습니다. 2003년식 VW 파사트 1.8T 입니다.

에탄올 혼합 휘발유만 판매되는 것 같음. 에탄올이 엔진에 더 해롭다고 생각하고, 차량을 20만 마일까지 운행하려고 함. 에탄올 무함유 휘발유를 구입할 수 있는지 확인하고 싶음.

새로 구입한 '리퍼브' 올터네이터를 육안 검사했을 때 스테이터 와이어 일부에서 절연피복이 벗겨진 부분 발견. 스테이터 본체와 배선 일부가 검은색으로 스프레이 칠해져 있으며, 절연피복과 도료가 벗겨진 부분에서 노출된 와이어가 명확히 보임.

AC 컨덴서 교체 중 냉각팬이 작동하지 않는 것을 발견. 차량은 정상적으로 작동하는 것처럼 보임. 2000년식 도요타 셀리카. 향후 2개월 동안 출퇴근(약 15분 거리) 용도로만 사용할 예정이므로 임시로 운행 가능한지 확인 필요.

1993 아쿠라의 CV 조인트 문제. 수리 설명서에서는 조인트를 직접 수리하기보다 새로운 액슬 샤프트 구매를 권장 ($60 정도). 비용을 절약하고 싶어서 두 가지 옵션 고려 중: a) 새 액슬 샤프트 구매 ($60), b) CV 조인트 부트 키트만 구매 ($10)

새 연료 탱크, 새 연료 펌프와 릴레이, 새 필터를 장착했는데도 연료 레일 압력이 엔진이 끊길 때 떨어짐. 실제 휘발유(E10 없음)를 사용 중. 약 30~40분 주행 후 시작해서 연료 부족처럼 끊기기 시작. 엔진이 멈추고 1~2시간 식혀야 시동이 걸림.

2014 Grand Cherokee Laredo에서 스티어링 휠에서 매우 낮은 고음의 윙윙거리는 소리 발생. 휠을 좌우로 2인치 정도 돌리면 소리가 사라짐. 휠을 놓고 원위치로 돌아오면 소리 다시 발생. 파워 스티어링 플루이드 레벨은 최대치로 확인됨.
