증상
주차 후 차를 잠갔는데(창문은 닫혀있었음) 돌아왔을 때 차는 여전히 잠겨있었지만 앞쪽 창문이 내려가 있었음. 강제 진입 흔적 없음. 시동 걸 때 좌측 후미등 경고등 발생했으나 모든 후미등(브레이크등, 방향지시등 포함)은 정상 작동. 5분 후 경고등 사라짐.
처리 내용
모듈(제어 장치) 문제로 추정. 대부분의 BMW는 잠금 해제 버튼을 길게 누르면 모든 창문이 내려가는 기능이 있으므로, 의도하지 않은 창문 하강과 후미등 경고가 동시에 발생했다면 같은 모듈이 두 기능을 담당할 가능성이 높음. 같은 모듈에서 나온 문제라면 해당 모듈 교체 권장. (참고: 일부 BMW는 도어가 열리지 않으면 일정 시간 후 자동 재잠금됨)

BMW 318 TDS 가솔유 연료펌프(프리펌프)가 밀폐된 연료탱크 내부에 장착되어 있고, 12V 전기가 공급되는 소형 모터를 포함하고 있습니다. 모터 내부에서 스파크가 발생할 수 있고, 연료탱크 내에 공기가 있으면 폭발할 위험이 있는데 어떻게 폭발 위험 없이 작동하는지 이해가 안 됨. (주유 시 휴대전화 사용을 금지하는 것과의 모순)
