Seems like I need to replace the struts and shocks on my 2013 528i xDrive. The shop quoted me a rather large sum for parts and labor, which led me to wonder if I can do this as a DIY project. I have some questions about it that I’m hoping someone on here can answer: When I search for replacement parts and specify my exact vehicle, I don’t seem to get many or any results, depending on the site. But when I drop the xDrive specification and search for just “2013 528i” struts and shocks I get what appears to be a few decent choices. Do both these cars in fact use the same type of shocks and struts

I have a 2001 Pontiac Grand Am SE 2.4 and I’m dealing with a no start problem that I can’t figure out. I’m thinking it’s probably the fuel pump, but it could also be the ignition switch or maybe crankshaft/camshaft sensor. This all started a couple months ago. The car was acting weird when I tried to start it. I’d turn the key and get dash lights and headlights, but no crank at all. If I kept turning the key a few times, it would eventually start. Transmission has been having intermitten issues with slow or sluggish acceleration. The RPM dial would oscoliate before it would shift or you would it feel the car jerk while driving like its attempting to shift. I was unaware that there was anything wrong with my vehicle. No warnings, no nothing, and as i pulled out into traffic, all of a sudden my car would not go anywhere. I was unable to go in forward or reverse. I was almost hit by multiple other vehicles. I was stuck in the middle of a busy intersection with traffic coming at me in both directions. I have a 2018 Toyota Camry XSE with 67,000 miles. The car started making a clinking noise when driving over small bumps, increasingly getting louder over the course of a few days. I took it in to a mechanic and both the left and right strut mounts and coils were rusted and fully cracked . When lifted, both front tires fell to the sides. This could have resulted in significant car damage had I driven over a large bump,. The mechanic stated that he had never experienced this in a newer car with so few miles.

Car stalled while driving and needed to be towed to dealership. Dealership confirmed that there was coolant intrusion into the engine that clogged the fuel injector causing the car to stall while driving. Dealership informed us that car will need a new engine and transmission because of the coolant intrusion. 알리에서 냉각수 비중계를 구엡해봤습니다. 비쌀줄 알았더니 1만원 에서 왔다갔다 하는 금액으로 살수가 있네요. 처음 받아 모비스 프리믹스(표기에 영하34도) 넣어서 측정했더니 영하41도가 나와서 동봉된 드라이버로 영하34도로 맞춤 다음에 차량 부동액 측정했더니 영하31도 나오네요. 결론은 비중계가 생각보다 저렴한데 쓸일이 보통은 없네요. (저는 매장에 지게차가 있어서 그거 측정해 볼려고 샀구요.)

I was driving in downtown and a sudden loss of braking power. My speed was 20 mile/ hr and I push down brake strongly to stop the car. I was at the highest risk even stopped the car. The Toyota dealer said that I must replace booster vacuum pump while Toyota has recall to replace this part for certain camry 2018 but my car is not included.I had a warning lump at the same time of losing the brake power.

A buddy and I were trying to replace his right front wheel hub, on his 2008 Chevy Impala LTZ. He described the engine size as 3900, I would think that means 3.9 liter, although I didn’t know there is a 3.9, I only know of the 3.8 liter and 3,1 Liter. One of the mounting bolts is so tight that the socket would not keep a grip on the bolt head, no matter how hard we tried to force the socket onto the bolt head. I just had new winter tires put on my 2003 Honda Civic 4-door LX. The steering has been affected. The steering now feels "weak" or "light" or "loose". Meaning I now have to turn the wheel further to make my car turn than I did before changing the tires. For example. Before changing my tires, I would generally turn the steering wheel about three inches to comfortably change lanes. Now I have to turn the wheel about a full quarter turn to have the same affect, so maybe about double the distance. And to be clear the steering is fine otherwise: doesn't pull, doesn't shake. In dealer 2 different dealers for 2 computer failures 2x. So called repaired. Car hits the brakes by itself there is no way to turn off the radar on the front of the car. You have to remember to turn it off everytime you drive it. Then the gas pedal and brakes failed. The tow truck guy said just disconnect the battery for 15 minutes to re-set the Ecu. Well he did and I had to retrain the car how to shift over several days. Good thing the failure occured at 30mph. I am selling this. This morning, my car wouldn't start so a friend of mine and I tried to push start it, with no luck. We got around a corner in my neighborhood and fortunately found someone who could jump it. I drive a Ford Fiesta which has clocked 110 000km total. When I cross 100-120km/h on a smooth road, the steering wheel starts to vibrate, and the vibration reduces when I reduce my speed. I guessed the problem was in the tires, so I replaced the front tires with new ones, but I still get that vibration at high speeds. I also get these vibrations when I drive at high speed and suddenly slow down towards a bump. Can someone give me an idea for a solution?

As mentioned in an unrelated thread, the clutch cylinder is leaking on my 2000 S10 4.3L. This is one of those things that can be managed by carrying a bottle of brake fluid and topping off when needed. I am debating about keeping this truck long term so wasn’t wanting to spend $1000 to have the entire clutch replaced. Unfortunately the cylinder is in the bell housing so the engine and transmission have to come apart and at that time you just replace the entire clutch set.
