I am a self confessed VW fan boy, with a Mk2 & Mk6 in the current fleet, albeit non-GTIs. My Mk6 Estate is a Mk5 in new clothes, and it is near immortal with 190k on the clock & no end in sight.That said, a cheap Mk5 GTI should be approached with extreme caution. There are hundreds on FB marketplace, both in running and being broken guises. It's a car that in general comes across as a rapidly disappearing model. This is a good thing, as in 5 years, there will only be true solid survivors left. I suspect this week's shed won't be amongst them.Edited by BFleming on Friday 9th October 08:18

Winter 1993. On my way to the office, I'm slightly distracted by changing the music or something and I don't notice the rush hour traffic has come to a halt - I brake hard but manage to hit the Fiesta. The driver in the 7 series in front of the Fiesta hears the impact and instantly stands on the brake but inadvertently floors the throttle and careers over the road, hits the opposite fence, spins around, hits the fence on this side, then comes to a halt. 다이하츠 탄토(LA650S/LA660S) 외장 커스텀 작업. 공정1: 도어핸들을 바디 동색으로 변경. 순정은 실버색이지만 바디색이 노랑색이라 어색함. 메킹 핸들커버도 있지만 동색이 더 스포티해 보임. 도장 건조시간 포함하면 6시간 이상 소요. 공정2: 차량 사용하면서 작업 진행하여 야후옥션에서 신차 외장 핸들 낙찰, 분해 도장 후 조립 완료.
