엔진과 변속기는 정상 작동. 신호등에서 오일 게이지 급강하. 3쿼트 추가. 40마일 후 배기 시스템에서 오일과 냉각수 혼합물의 연기 발생. 리저버 캡을 넘어 심하게 누출되는 상태. 40마일에 3쿼트 모두 소비됨. 엔진은 계속 정상 작동. 트레일러 탑승을 위해 추가 오일 보충.

크랭크축 위치 센서(CPS) 수리 중 스타터를 분리했는데, 그 후 시동이 걸리지 않고 클릭음만 발생. 스타터는 두 번 분리해서 테스트했으나 정상. 배터리도 정상. 시동 키를 돌려도 클릭음만 반복됨.

자동차를 일주일간 사용하지 않으면 배터리 전압이 12V에서 9.5~10V로 떨어져서 시동이 어려워짐

1993 Toyota 4Runner SR5 4CYL 4WD 5단 수동변속기에서 시동 문제 발생. 약 2개월 전 스타터 고장으로 재생 제품으로 교체했으나 몇 주 후 다시 고장. Advance Auto에서 교환받은 재생 스타터로 재설치했고 처음에는 정상 작동했음. 현재 열쇠를 ACC 위치로 돌리면 모든 계기판 조명, 스테레오, 헤드라이트가 정상 작동하지만 시동 관련 문제 발생.

1999 Yamaha 80hp 4행정 아웃보드(F80TLRX) 모터 고장. 출력을 높이다가 갑자기 동력 손실 → 엔진 정지. 30A 퓨즈 끊김. 퓨즈 교체 후 레귤레이터(정류기)가 과열되어 연소 및 연기 발생. 틸트/트림 모터 작동 불가(원격제어/엔진측 모두), 스타터 작동 불가.

가속할 때 딱딱 소리가 발생하며 상당히 큼. 유휴 상태나 감속할 때는 훨씬 약하고 느림. 유휴/주차 상태에서 천천히 일정한 속도로 딱딱거림. 보통 고속도로에 도달할 때까지 발생하지 않음. 주행거리 200,000마일 이상. 1-2개월 전 새로운 트랜스미션 설치했으나 실제로는 스피드 센서 문제였음. 냉각수는 충분하고 항상 가득 찬 상태. 오일 게이지 판독이 어려움(신형 밴의 새로운 게이지).

I know that steam engines are considered to be old fashioned, impractical and rarely used. Why are they considered impractical therefore rarely used? How exactly might a steam engine work to power a car as a replacement for the internal combustion engine? I have made the assumption that it is possible.

Was expecting this to be dirt cheap, didn't realise these W204s commanded that kind of money.Still pretty remarkable value, I'd love a wagon version if petrol wasn't so ridiculously expensive. Pity about the tints on this one. Another nice car ruined by chav glass!

I have a couple of 10 Litre steel jerrycans which I used for draining kerosene (UN1223 28sec burning oil) from a tank. After disposing of the kerosene I left the open jerrycans upside down over some oil-absorbing pellets for a couple of days. I would like to re-use these jerrycans to store unleaded petrol (gasoline) for my car - which is what they are designed for. Do they need further cleaning or is the tiny amount of kerosene residue unlikely to do any harm.

차고에 보관된 개 사료를 쥐나 쥐가 벤트 시스템으로 많이 옮겨 저장했음. 악취 발생. 캐빈 필터를 두 번 교체했음. 플러그인 오존 장치 사용함. 글로브박스 뒤의 캐빈 필터 개구부를 통해 벤트에서 최대한 청소했으나 모두 제거되었는지 불명확. 혼다 딜러십에서 오존 머신을 사용하여 몇 시간 운영했으나 효과 없음.

Sad to see that negotiation to renew the lease at Beaulieu have broken down. Anyone got a spare large garage for the museum to move to?

A bit of hearsay and conjecture on this thread but the Charity Commission has their last returns (2024) as ingoing and outgoing expenditure as roughly the same, about £3.5 million per year for each? Fascinating that it counts as a charity but that's a separate conversation. For those one here talking about £1 mill losses a week and huge salaries can you evidence that? Genuine question, I'm not sure whether the finances are also hidden within Beaulieu estates.
