증상
브레이크 패드와 로터를 점검했지만 멀쩡한 상태. 갈리는 소음이 점점 커지고 있음. 정비사는 브레이크 더스트일 수 있다고 함.
처리 내용
브레이크 더스트는 보통 고음의 스퀼링을 유발하지, 갈리는 소음(grinding)을 일으키지 않습니다. 갈리는 소음은 금속 부품끼리 빠르게 마찰할 때 발생하는 저음입니다. 브레이킹 시에만 나는 소음이라면 브레이크 시스템 부품일 가능성이 매우 높습니다. 2010 Civic은 전후 디스크 브레이크를 사용하므로, 갈리는 소음은 보통 ① 패드가 완전히 마모되어 백킹 플레이트가 로터와 접촉하거나 ② 캘리퍼가 로터와 접촉하는 경우입니다. 육안 검사만으로는 부족하며, 캘리퍼와 패드를 분리하여 모든 부품을 제대로 검사할 것을 강력히 권장합니다. 정비사가 원인을 찾지 못하고 소음이 계속 커진다면 다른 정비소를 찾아보세요. 로터 내측 접촉점은 휠만 제거한 상태에서는 보이지 않을 수 있습니다. 브레이킹 중 큰 갈리는 소음의 또 다른 원인으로는 차체 부위가 있을 수 있습니다.

With the untimely death of my daily Ford Focus Estate Titanium X recently it was time to find a new daily. For those who have followed my previous MX-5 thread, you may remember that I was considering purchasing a new car for some time. The arrival of my son hadn't forced my hand per-se (we have another family car), but with the MX-5 being a two-seater, it's become such a lonely car.
