증상

디프로스트 등 특정 조건에서 A/C 컴프레서가 작동하는가? 지난 1주일간 A/C를 사용하지 않았는데도 약 0.5리터 정도의 투명한 물이 차량 아래에 고여있고, 승객석 발밑 아래 튜브 출구에서 빠르게 계속 물이 떨어지고 있다. 물이 떨어지는 것은 실내 송풍기의 온/오프와 직접적인 연관이 있다. 냉시동 직후 라디에이터 팬이 계속 온/오프로 순환하는 것이 정상인가? 송풍기 온/오프와 직접적인 관련이 있는 것 같다.

처리 내용

대부분의 차량에서 A/C 컴프레서가 제습(defrost) 또는 부분제습 위치에서 작동하는 것은 정상 동작이다. 이는 제습된 공기를 앞유리에 분사하여 김이 더 빨리 풀리도록 하기 위함이다. 실외 온도가 영하이고 습한 공기(심지어 숨결의 수증기도)를 앞유리에 분사하면 얼음이 얼 수 있기 때문이다. 이렇게 되면 앞유리 내부에 얼음층이 생겨 제거하기 번거로워진다. 제습된 공기를 분사하면 김을 빠르게 걷어내고 차량이 데워질 때까지 기다리는 것보다 빠르게 시야가 확보된다. 라디에이터 팬은 A/C 컴프레서가 작동할 때 함께 작동하도록 설정되어 있으므로 이것도 정상이다. A/C가 작동 중이면 A/C 드레인 튜브에서 응축수가 배출된다. 따라서 냉각수 부족과는 무관하며, 특히 발견된 액체가 투명한 물인 점을 고려하면 냉각수 누수가 아니다.

There is a specialist on Boxsters in Sunbury that has consistently good review and has set-up his own Facebook group where he gives advice and support to help people work on the Boxster - Paul Torque Boxster. I booked in for a minor service, to have the water pump, thermostat and coolant changed and the oil pressure relief valve changed to a later spec one. Paul suggested that I get a new oil filter canister as they need changing every few changes and I didnt know when it was last changed. I can help thinking Porsche parts might be a bit cheaper if they didnt give wrap them!
