증상
2007 Dodge Charger, 119,000마일. 주행 중 엔진이 갑자기 고착되어 정지. Dodge 정식 딜러 진단 결과, 오일 필터에 오일 찌꺼기가 심하고 필터 스크린이 막혀 오일 통로가 차단되어 엔진 고착 발생. 사용자는 대형 오일 교환 체인점에서 5,000~8,000마일 간격으로 정기적인 오일 교환을 실시했으며, 합성유 사용. 엔진 고착 전 약 3,000마일 전에 오일 및 필터 교환 완료.
처리 내용
오일 슬러지는 오일 내 산 축적으로 인해 발생하며, 이 산은 오일을 분해한다. 산은 오일 내 물이 남아있을 때 형성되며, 물이 오일의 오염물질과 반응한다. 이러한 화학물질 조합이 오일의 세제제 성능을 초과한다. 오일 내 물은 일반적으로 PCV 시스템을 통해 제거된다. 단거리 주행으로 엔진 온도가 충분히 올라가지 않을 때 작동이 미흡하다 (가열에 의한 증발과 흡입 포트로의 흡입이 불충분). PCV 호스 막힘 또는 PCV 밸브 노후화/부적절한 규격으로 인한 PCV 시스템 손상으로도 물 제거가 저해된다. PCV 호스 히터를 포함하는 엔진 설계는 슬러지 축적을 상당히 감소시킨다. 인테이크 시스템 개조 시 PCV 히터 시스템 제거가 흔하다. 오일 품질이 중요하지만 대부분의 슬러지 사례에서는 결정 요인이 아니다. 합성유도 고품질 블렌드유만큼 슬러지 발생 경향이 있으며, 보호 첨가제 품질이 더 중요하다. 오일 교환 간격을 현저히 단축해야 한다.

In a multi story that I was using earlier this evening, the MOT ran out in May 24. I do find the car park ones odd, I've seen other seemingly abandoned cars in other car parks, I'd love to know the reasons.

A somewhat unbalanced duo which is acknowledged from the start in this head to head. I would never put these two on the same page and i found myself unpicking the Porsche rather than comparing it to the Morgan. Despite the indifferences the 911 wins out.

If its styling fuses a little 6GT with a little 720S, I can't see it going far wrong.Building an SUV is a sad but perhaps necessary evil. Performance manufacturers should really look at a different set of priorities to luxury marques. A McLaren, Ferrari, Lambo, Porsche, or even Bentley SUV should be something that could conceivably win a race. Make the body low and wide, and if it has to be jacked up, make it jacked up for sand dunes and mud pits, not Kensington kerbs and speedbumps. Most importantly, make it weigh less! Else there's no S about it, it's just a big fat squishy UV.
