증상
2004 Mercury Monterey V6. 겨울철 인젝터 교체 및 O2 센서 4개 교체 후 촉매변환기 손상으로 인해 주(state) 검사 불합격. 새 촉매변환기 설치 후 P0171(연료 시스템이 너무 희박), P0430(촉매변환기 시스템 효율 저하) 코드 발생. 설치 직후 배기관과 매니폴드 연결부 플랜지에서 배기 누출이 의심되었으나, 현재 4개 볼트(각 연결부마다 2개씩) 모두 매우 타이트함.
처리 내용
1) 배기 누출 재확인 - 따뜻한 엔진에서 비누물로 모든 매니폴드-배기관 연결부, 다운파이프 연결부, 촉매변환기 입출구 플랜지 검사. 미세한 누출도 O2 센서 신호 왜곡 가능. 2) O2 센서 검증 - 새로 설치한 업스트림/다운스트림O2 센서 신호 확인 (스캔 툴로 실시간 전압값 모니터링). 잘못된 센서 배치, 불량품, 또는 나쁜 커넥터 접점 확인. 3) 연료 시스템 검사 - 새 인젝터 설치 후 분무 패턴, 펄스폭, 압력 재확인. 연료 레귤레이터 진공선 손상 없는지 확인. 4) 촉매변환기 - P0430은 새 부품이므로 내부 손상, 나쁜 설치(역방향), 또는 배기 누출로 인한 허위 신호 가능성. 5) 엔진 컨트롤 모듈(ECU) - P0171 지속 시 ECU 리셋 또는 재프로그래밍 필요할 수 있음(배기 누출 수리 후).
