got an hour on this today. there's just not enough hours in the day these days for me!had a look at why the new aux belts were squeaking the power steering belt adjuster was missing a bolt so I've ordered a m10x1.25 28mm bolt so i can tension the power steering pump without it cocking over. the new alternator belt that's been fitted has shredded due to the build up of the old belt dust. i will remove this belt and clean the alternator pulley and casing to remove all the dust belt and bolt cost me less than £15 so happy with that once that's sorted can get the engine bay cleaned up and run the engine up to temp, will whip the top cambelt cover off and inspect belthaving a look around the engine bay it is in a better condition than it has any right to be in after 27 years. a good clean and a refresh of a few components will bring the engine bay back to former gloryhaving a look over the car noticed a small ingress of water at the rear traced this to the rear lights letting water in so thought it was wise to attack this before winter sets in properlyagain it has come up really well no rust and will be treated to some lanoguard asapits been nice to pull something apart and the quality of parts used are built to last. the gaskets on the rear lights are good quality cleaned up well and been refitted with some silicone spraya car cover will more than likely be bought to try and keep the worst of the winter off it
