증상
2006 포드 토러스 6기통. 주행 중 엔진룸에서 큰 시스 음 발생 후 에어컨이 따뜻한 바람 토출. 주차 후 에어컨 켰을 때 컴프레서 클러치가 작동하지 않음. 컴프레서 고장으로 냉매가 모두 배출되었는지 확인 필요.
처리 내용
냉매가 전체 용량의 절반 이상 손실되면 압력 센서가 이를 감지하고 엔진 컴퓨터에 신호를 보내 컴프레서 클러치 전원을 차단합니다. 이는 압축기 자손 방지를 위한 안전 설계입니다. 냉매 손실 시 컴프레서로 순환할 오일이 없으면, 윤활유 없이 작동하는 드라이 컴프레서는 극히 빠르게 파괴됩니다. 수리 후 냉매가 차면 압력 센서가 이를 감지하고 컴프레서 작동을 허용합니다. 에어컨 작동 중 주행 중 큰 시스 음이 난 후 냉각 성능 상실은 에어컨 시스템 어딘가에 대규모 파열이 발생했을 가능성이 높습니다. 사례: 캐머로의 R12 호스가 배터리 옆에서 마찰되어 파열되고 신호등에서 총성 같은 음이 발생한 경우. 포드에서 공장 조립 시 형광 노란색 염료를 첨가했는지 확인 필요.

I really like it! re. the refrigerant - If you take the car to Quik-Fit they will empty the system for free (probably best to ring first to check but I've done it on a few cars..). This is actually a requirement if you work on the AC system of a car as the gas is pretty nasty for you and the environment.Once that's done it's pretty simple, just nuts n bolts but do fit a replacement drier though if you're opening the system up.
