증상
VW CC 2010, 83k마일. 촉매변환기는 78k마일에 교체됨. 하류 산소센서는 80k마일에 교체됨. 촉매변환기에서 소량의 누수 발생 - 카본 축적으로 인한 분무/댐 패턴 형태로 배기가스 누수 확인 가능. P0420 코드 발생 여부 확인 필요.
처리 내용
촉매변환기의 작은 누수도 P0420을 유발할 수 있습니다. 배기가스가 새면 하류 O2센서(산소센서)가 부정확한 신호를 감지하여 촉매변환기 효율 저하로 판단합니다. 교체된 지 얼마 되지 않은 촉매변환기라도 제조 결함이나 설치 문제로 누수가 발생할 수 있습니다. 진단 순서: (1) 육안 검사로 누수 위치 정확히 확인 (2) 누수가 있다면 누수 지점을 실란트나 에폭시로 임시 수리하여 P0420이 해소되는지 테스트 (3) P0420이 지속되면 촉매변환기 교체 검토. 80k마일에 교체된 하류 O2센서는 아직 문제일 가능성이 낮지만, 촉매변환기 누수로 인한 오염으로 센서 손상 가능성도 있습니다.
