증상
혼다 시빅 2003년식 GX 1.7L VTEC 수동변속기 4기통입니다. 오늘 오일을 보충했는데, 5분 정도 주행 후 신호등에서 1단으로 변속할 때 배기구에서 흰 연기가 많이 나왔습니다. 3시간 식힌 후 시동을 걸면 다시 흰 연기가 나옵니다. 주행 중 오일 보충 전처럼 가속이 잘 되지 않습니다.
처리 내용
흰 연기가 부동액 냄새(단맛)가 나는지 확인하세요. 동력 손실과 흰 연기는 헤드 개스킷 손상을 정확히 가리킵니다. 이 VTEC 엔진의 헤드 개스킷은 유한한 수명을 가지며, 오일 보충 시점 즈음해서 손상되었을 가능성이 높습니다. 헤드 개스킷은 집에서 교체할 수 있지만 경험 부족자에게는 권장하지 않습니다. 작업 단계 자체는 기술적으로 어렵지 않지만 정확하게 수행하는 것이 매우 중요합니다(예: 엔진을 상사점으로 설정). 이런 작업을 처음 해본다면 신뢰할 수 있는 정비소에 맡기시기 바랍니다. 부품 비용은 저렴하지만 공임이 많이 들 것입니다. 다만 엔진을 망칠 위험은 피할 수 있습니다.

For those who have followed my previous MX-5 thread, you may remember that I was considering purchasing a new car for some time. The arrival of my son hadn't forced my hand per-se (we have another family car), but with the MX-5 being a two-seater, it's become such a lonely car.
