Unfortunately later that afternoon the rain arrived, so we made our way back to Caffeine & Machine. Stocked up on some V-Power, and since my learning of the 74 litre tank and confidence restored in the fuel gauge I’ve been able to lengthen times between petrol stops. Consumption is around the 30 MPG mark, which for an older sports car doesn’t seem too badIt was a bit quieter on the Thursday, not helped by the weather, but still some interesting cars arriving inCan’t remember the last time I saw a Tomcat, nevermind the six that turned up!Someone was wondering if this meant we could stay longer!We were gone early the next morning, heading for the ferry back from Fishguard, but not before a brekkie stop at one of the Baffle Haus in South WalesI believe this is the smaller one, and parking was a bit tight, but the breakfast and coffee were lovely and a few nice car and bike spotsI was chatting to the owner of this, based on an 88 3.2 Carrera, who was heading off on a week’s road-trip with some pals himselfI’d much rather use the likes of BaffleHaus than a services for taking a break and grabbing a bite to eat, so hope they do wellThen it was one more stop for essential supplies before the ferry homeHome safe and soundSo all in that’s about 3500 miles in a month for the 968, and it’s been great. Will probably only be getting the odd spin out for the next while as I plan to use the other cars for a while, and will get it in fit a service in the spring. Great car, really love it!
