That's even ignoring that nobody paid list price for the BMW, so the reality is much worse for the Tesla.Whether or not that's a fair comparison is debatable of course but that seemed like it should be a reasonable parallel. It'll be far easier to see with Land Rover products where both ICE and EV are available. If you wait for enough information to be available to do that it may well be too late for it to be relevant (unless UK Gov backpedals some more).Yup, what generally canes big premium cars as they age is that those, very generally speaking, who have the budget to buy don't have the ongoing excess income to run. Theoretically, older EVs will be far cheaper to run than older large cc ICE and that will get reflected in the shape of their depreciation curve. What has freaked out more than a few people is that they've erroneously assumed that a completely different type of car will somehow map the depreciation curve shape of their past.
