With a bit of help from AI, the definition of a "cult car" is "a vehicle that inspires fierce, passionate loyalty and a dedicated following among a specific group of enthusiasts, often despite mainstream indifference, quirky design, or practical flaws".The 3 examples that it gives are the DeLorean, Volkswagen Type 2 and Citroen 2CV. Whereas I agree with the DeLorean, I don't necessarily agree with the other two, as I would say that maybe they were a bit too popular/commercially successful? Something like the Austin Allegro seems to sit with that definition a bit better?Skoda would seem like

Mr Tidy said: When they came out I thought the E61 looked far less offensive than the E60, but with time I'm coming round to both of them. Maybe latest BMW models are a factor too! I suspect an Auto 525i isn't going to be a ball of fire - probably why I replaced my 325i with a 330i after just a year - but if you got a year out of it for that money it's a decent Shed. Although with new injectors costing over £500 each and potential HPFP issues maybe it's a Brave Pill as much as a Shed! The first E6*s had the M54 and then the N52 so one of those would be a safer bet, even if it cost a bit more.
