Hi All, I have been noticing in my TJ that when i start up in the morning, everything is fine. I then hit the road and about 30 seconds as I am accelerating the jeep starts balking and running rough, greatly losing power. I’ll push the clutch and watch the tach dip down to about stall, but I save it with a little gas. After about a minute of this power loss and stuttering, it seems to work perfectly fine for the rest of the drive. Once I park and let it sit off for a bit, it will do it all over again when I start on my way. I’m thinking bad O2 sensor, but not sure. I don’t have a check engine

It’s not your O2 sensor, you would get a code. You will need a mechanic to verify this, but I would look into the throttle position sensor (TPS). The TPS tells the computer that your foot is off the gas and the computer should control the idle through the idle air control (IAC). Sometimes the TPS gets dirty or worn down around the idle position so the computer never knows that it needs to take over. The computer does not detect an issue with this as it is simply not getting the correct voltage, but it usually gets some voltage. It could also be a stuck IAC. The computer is sending signals to the IAC but it is not responding or not responding quick enough.

2012 Jeep Compav compass I noticed a persistent squealing coming from thr front end of my car (I think the front left). It happens when I have my foot on the accelerator and over 40-45 mph. It stops when I let my foot off the gas, and only occurs under load. This alone would take me to the engine, but it responds to me turning the wheel. It gets louder when turning right and quieter when left. It also stops when I let off gas. My original thought was brakes, but I wanted to see if the community had an idea. Thanks!

I have a 2005 Camry that I don’t plan on driving much. First time I have had to consider time recommendations over mileage. Should all time constrained maintenance, such as changing your oil once every 6 months (even if you don’t go 5000 miles in that time) be strictly followed? My wife’s car is a 2007 Corolla. She told me the car is making a noise that sounds like a shifting bag of rice. I rode in the car and we stopped at the end of the street and then started into a left-handed u-turn and it sounded to me like we ran over some light gravel/sand on the right-front, but we didn’t - that was the sound. Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Happens when giving it gas while going into a sharp turn - either direction. She’s not sure that it happens 100% every time, but it does happen regularly. This is in regard to a 1993 Dodge Shadow with a 2.5L engine and 3-speed automatic transmission. When the engine is running, the transmission fluid leaks between the engine and transmission. Is there a replaceable seal, or does the torque converter itself need to be replaced? Once the motor and transmission are pulled, is it very difficult to remove and reinstall a torque converter onto a transmission? E.g. alignment.
