Went to a small local show that I heard about on the grapevine, at a place called Path Head watermill, a beautiful setting a few miles from my place, but somewhere I'd never heard of or visited. It was a nice enough day, but the turnout was poor, mainly due to there being several other better advertised car events on that day. 89년식 마즈다 626 LX. 기어 선택봉이 기어가 들어간 상태에서도 매우 헐거움. 기어 변속은 정상이고 슬립 현상 없음. 기어가 들어간 상태에서도 선택봉을 앞뒤로 움직일 수 있음 (중립 상태처럼)

얼터네이터 교환

1994 푸조 205 TD 디젤 엔진. 인젝터 리턴 라인에서 디젤 누유 발생했던 상태. 수리 후 알터네이터가 고장남 (2년 사이 3번째). 엔진 운전 중 12.5V 출력, 여자 회로(Exciter) 6~7V, 배터리 경고등이 엔진 운전 중에도 약간 켜짐. 디젤 누유가 알터네이터를 파괴하는 메커니즘이 무엇인지, 수리 가능 여부 확인 필요.

타이어 교환

97 Corolla Levin 엔진 스왑 작업 중 엔진(트랜스미션 제거됨)을 안전하게 고정하고 작업할 수 있는 방법을 찾는 중. 현재 타이어와 팔렛 위에 놓여있는 상태. 일반 엔진 스탠드는 사용 불가능하고, 엔진 크레인으로 계속 달아놓고 작업하는 것보다 더 안전하고 효율적인 방법이 필요함.

AC 컨트롤 패널 조명과 헤드라이트 조절 기능이 약 일주일 전부터 작동하지 않음. AC 컨트롤 조명이 꺼져 있고, 헤드라이트 조절이 완전히 작동하지 않아 최저 위치에 고정됨. 나머지 기능은 정상 작동.

변속기 오일 교환

1998 닛산 센트라 자동변속기가 역주행 중 내리막길에서 중립으로 변속됨. 2주 전부터 시작됨. 처음 몇 번은 엔진이 꺼짐. 엔진 재시동 후 시프트 레버를 앞뒤로 움직여서 드라이브 단으로 재진입함.

1989 S10 Blazer의 오픈 디퍼렌셜을 제한 슬립 디퍼렌셜로 교체하고 싶습니다. 얼음 위에서 견인력이 부족합니다. 스핀들 개수, 기어비 및 기타 구체적인 정보를 알고 싶습니다.

배터리 점프 시작 시 수소 폭발 위험에 대한 우려. 음(-)케이블을 배터리 음(-)단자 대신 보닛이나 다른 차체 부분에 연결할 수 있는지 확인.

브레이크 패드 교환

2017 현대 소나타 하이브리드에서 브레이크 라이딩(지속적인 브레이크 접촉)이 문제가 되는지 궁금함. 특히 회생제동 시스템이 있는 하이브리드에서 브레이크 과열 문제가 일반 차량만큼 심한지 불명확함. 내리막길에서 크루즈 컨트롤 사용 시 차량이 지속적으로 '회생제동' 모드를 표시하고 일정한 속도를 유지하며 디스크 브레이크 전환이 느껴지지 않음.

에어컨 가스 충전

2011 Ford Mustang V6 에어컨이 유휴 상태에서는 냉기가 잘 나오지만 고속도로에서 주행 중에는 냉기가 나오지 않음. 아침에 외부 온도 78°F에서는 정상 작동하지만 오후 100°F에서는 냉기가 약함.

I bought a registration and haven’t assigned it to my own car so the retention document is still in the previous owner’s name. Can I sell the registration on without having assigned it to my own car or do I have to first get the registration in my name before selling it? Ideally I’d like to avoid the £80 fee.

Insurance is one of those things that's got way cheaper over the last 30 years. My first years insurance wasn't much less than that nearly 30 years ago. Nearer to £3k in 2026 money.
