With our two family wagons (an F11 530d and a dog friendly Ford S-Max) as the only means of transport for the family I felt it was time for something interesting (but reasonably cheap) for me to reconnect with my love of driving. Thanks, Tom.Promised myself a FFRR for years now; originally wanted an L322 but the prices for good (non-rusty) ones is very close to the equivalent L405 but having sampled both there is no question the L405 is the better ‘car’ for everyday life/family duties. I do agree with the view though that the L322 is probably the ultimate Range Rover in the truest sense and still the favourite if you want to do proper off-road work.Hope this treats me well. I’ve never done a Reader’s Ride as I suspect I’d be poor at keeping one updated but we’ll see!
