브레이크 패드 교환

08년식 도요타 프리우스에서 2개월 전 프론트 브레이크 작업 후(드라이버측 휠 캘리퍼, 캘리퍼 호스 교체) 장거리 저속 주행 후 정지할 때만 금속음의 그라인딩 음과 진동이 발생. 마치 뭔가 팽창하면서 끌리는 것 같은 느낌. 정비소에서 브레이크를 분해하고 리어 브레이크도 확인했으며 시운전했지만 문제를 찾지 못함.

배터리 교환

1993 Toyota 4Runner SR5 4CYL 4WD 5단 수동변속기에서 시동 문제 발생. 약 2개월 전 스타터 고장으로 재생 제품으로 교체했으나 몇 주 후 다시 고장. Advance Auto에서 교환받은 재생 스타터로 재설치했고 처음에는 정상 작동했음. 현재 열쇠를 ACC 위치로 돌리면 모든 계기판 조명, 스테레오, 헤드라이트가 정상 작동하지만 시동 관련 문제 발생.

변속기 오일 교환

2016 현대 엘란트라, 166,000마일, 구입 당시 48,000마일. 지금까지 트랜스미션 유체를 한 번도 교환하지 않음. 소유자 설명서에 '점검 불필요, 정비 불필요'라고 명시됨. 현재 트랜스미션 시프트 정상 작동. 주행의 대부분이 고속도로 주행이며 천천히 가속하고 정지-출발 빈번한 주행은 거의 없음. 트랜스미션 드레인 및 플러시 또는 필터 교환 시 트랜스미션 슬립이 시작되어 큰 수리비가 발생할 수 있는지 우려.

얼터네이터 교환

2003 Toyota Camry XLE - 배터리 경고등 점등 후 시동 꺼짐. 배터리 전압 12.5V. 점프 스타트 후 배터리 제거 시 시동 꺼짐 → 오ル터네이터 불량 확인. 신규 오르터네이터 설치 후에도 유휴 상태에서 시동 꺼짐 (가스 조금 밟으면 정상 작동). 점프 케이블 연결 20분 후 유휴 상태에서 정상화. 시동 중 배터리 제거 시 오르터네이터 작동 확인됨.

드라이브 샤프트(구동축)의 톱니가 심하게 마모된 것이 보임. 이것이 알려진 문제인지, 원인이 무엇인지 궁금함.

E90 325i (2011년식) N53 엔진 관련 문의 - 63,000km 저주행 차량 구입 여부 상담. 정비기록 완벽하고 1년 보증 제공. 가격 협상 가능성 있음. 저주행이 장점인지 단점인지 확인 요청.

2001 쉐보레 몬테카를로. 6년간 방치 후 3년 사용 중. 온도 게이지 작동 안 함. GM 순정 센더 교체 후 몇 분만 작동 후 끊김. 센더 커넥터 전압 3.5V 정상, 커넥터 조작 시 5V로 상승 → 커넥터 불량 의심. 간헐적 크랜킹 불량(라이트, 연료펌프, 게이지는 정상이나 스타터 안 돌아감) - 후드 열 때만 복구됨.

콜로라도(해발 약 6400피트)에서 플로리다(해발 약 10피트)로 이사한 후 연비가 크게 떨어짐. 이전에는 27-28mpg였으나 현재는 22-23mpg. 낮은 고도에서는 엔진이 더 많은 산소를 얻어 더 잘 작동할 것으로 예상했으나 반대 결과 발생.

타이밍벨트 교환

F22B2 (non-VTEC) 97 Honda Accord. 헤드개스킷과 타이밍벨트 교체 후 점화스위치 II 위치(ON)에서 정상 작동 안 함. 위치별 결과: 0(OFF) - 헤드라이트, 후미등, 실내등 작동 / I(ACC) - 라디오 켜짐 / II(ON) - 배터리등과 오일등이 잠깐 켜져야 하는데 실내/외부 환기 라이트만 1초 미만으로 깜빡이고 대시보드 불이 켜지지 않음 / III(START) - 시동 걸림

2016 Toyota RAV4 hybrid의 12V 배터리가 일반적인 엔진룸이 아닌 트렁크 아래에 설치되어 있음. 엔진룸에는 충분한 공간이 있음에도 불구하고 이러한 비표준적인 배치가 적용된 이유를 파악하고자 함.

I know that steam engines are considered to be old fashioned, impractical and rarely used. Why are they considered impractical therefore rarely used? How exactly might a steam engine work to power a car as a replacement for the internal combustion engine? I have made the assumption that it is possible.

I have a couple of 10 Litre steel jerrycans which I used for draining kerosene (UN1223 28sec burning oil) from a tank. After disposing of the kerosene I left the open jerrycans upside down over some oil-absorbing pellets for a couple of days. I would like to re-use these jerrycans to store unleaded petrol (gasoline) for my car - which is what they are designed for. Do they need further cleaning or is the tiny amount of kerosene residue unlikely to do any harm.

They took away screens AND buttons? Well... Weird.I suspect this will be a nightmare to operate.(steering wheel buttons also suspicioucly look like they are capacitive). And they also won't win new, young, rich "tech" customers with that.

I think some of the reactions are a bit dramatic, it does look better than the daft full dash full of screens Merc approach.I have found interiors are hard to decide on from a photo as you miss the tactility and photos dont convey quality very well, I dont think its that horrendous, looks ok, not exactly inspiring but this does seem to be the direction car interiors have taken, will mainly be down to how it actually works when you are driving it as well.It isnt however as appealing as the interior on the last XJ, but would need to actually sit in it and drive to get it and make a decision.
